45 people 10.40 Thursday night

To say hello to me.

Hello Joel.

Good morning bodil how are you?

Still night here Joel.  I'm OKish. We live in interesting times.  Good to see NZ voted for the Union Jack.  God knows, it'll probably be off our flag soon.

Indeed, and ours one of these days too.

I see there's racing on today, do they always race on Good Friday there?

Until last year (or -1) they never raced on Good Friday here.  But it's the top All Weather card now - though as it gives generally **** horses a chance to win a decent prize it's popular.  Little relevance to the coming turf season though.

There's a new series of Jack Irish starting here next month.  Do you watch?

They are still resisting the push to have it here but I suspect it wont be long

I've never heard of Jack Irish but I don't really watch much TV.

Good series - books and TV.  He 'lives' in Melbourne and often works for a bookie.  Fair amount of Oz racing involved.  Check it out - you'll like both.  Peter Temple author.  JI played by Guy Pearce.

Thanks mate, I'll have a look at it.

I never used to like Guy Pearce when I was a youngster and he was in Neighbours. I think it's because I thought Guy was a weird name for a guy.

Fair enough.  Irrationality is as good a reason for disliking people as any other. I still liked it.  Have some obscure Kate Bush song in my phones currently - no wonder I hadn't heard it before.

Bush was a strange name for a female too I thought

Never thought of it that way before Joel.  Now I'll never be able to think about it any other way.  Ah.

Sorry

theres nothing wrong with good Friday racing , a winner is a winner whether its at ascot or the sand at Wolverhampton or lingfield

Hey - it's all about personal growth.  So I'm told.

So WW3 hasn't broken out.  Pity.  I was looking for some excitement.

It's a very good card at Lingfield - the acme of our AW.  But it wont be of much relevance to the turf.

I'm looking forward to the card as Busan
