Just watched a True story where an American teenager was grabbed off
The street, by 4 guys, and driven 75 miles away to isolated countryside and
over the next 24 hours multiple raped and humiliated by all 4.
She msnaged to escape and give enough info plyo police to have them arrested and charged.
Found Guilty the leader was given 152 years -- his deputy got 90 years and the
other two 75 years each.
In the UK what sentence would they have received ??
8 years ,and serve 4 ??

That explains the sentence.
If they were Mexicans or Muslims it would be regarded as a cultural thing not nearly as heinous. |

(see film brubaker) three strikes law - means you go to jail for life after three convictions. guy stole a snickers bar and it was his third offence - life sentence. if you are rich you can afford a team of lawyers ( oj simpson was exonerated having the cash) (lost when he was broke) serving over twenty years. america the land of the incarcerated and the home of the brave. |
