daesh is an Arabic word in its own right (rather than an acronym) meaning ‘a group of bigots who impose their will on others’
I think the BBC argued that calling them Daesh infringed their human rights - seriously!

You misspelt daesh there rog. The letter "d" should be lower case. As in dog.
