I get really angry with myself if, against better judgement, I leave myself open to be cheated!
Been selling lots of stuff of mine, my late sister's and daughter's stuff, in storage here.
Mainly on e-bay and some on Gumtree.
The very first thing I sold was my "De Walt" 24 volt hammer drill with three batteries and two chucks.
Had it down for pick up only as really heavy.
Guy bought it for £90.00 via Pay-Pal, but then asked if I would get a price for delivery which I did, and he would send £11.50 cash in the post.
Was out on two booked delivery dates, and they were saying it would be sent back to me if it wasn't collected.
Of course he never sent the money despite telling me he was a "Special Constable" (big deal) and should know better than to send cash in the post!!!!
This is the one that has really got me spitting blood!
I bought my wife a real hair wig when she was ill. £225.00 all those years ago, and now over E300.00.
Put it up at £58.00 as stuff doesn't sell otherwise.
Got a message from a girl called Sarah. What a beautiful name and aren't all Sarahs beautiful.
She wanted to buy it for her mum who had chemo and her cheap wig was itchy and doesn't look good.
She said she couldn't afford it until she sold some of her stuff first.
What did I do like a sucker? Pretty girl and mum with cancer....I told her to send an offer of £35.00 and I would accept it.
Lots of nice messages back to me and I felt really good!
That until I looked at her e-bay site where she's been selling for nine years.
What was the first thing on the site?
A real "Human Hair Wig" asking £80.00!!!
So I just posted it 1st class recorded delivery, and I'll guarantee in two days time it will be top of the shop at £80.00!

I can't help it Diva. I'm just a nice, kind, and cuddly type of guy (better to give than receive) you know what I mean! Now having got that out of the way, if I ever find out who the******* young ***** is who "bought" a five drawer chest from me yesterday, to be picked up this morning, and had me clearing it out, and not a word from the ******* *** I will personally............... sorry I can't go on as I'm too nice and cuddly! |

Best way to get someones attention who pisses you about and won't contact you is to give a bad review. Some **** didn't turn up or answer calls, so I put a honest review on EBay. In half an hour he was on the phone.

Enjoyed watching that trilby and btw I think I probably have more experience of life than most on here!
Well I've had plenty of time for it....however... I'm ashamed and humbled and hold my hands up! Got some heartwarming messages from Sarah and, out of the blue, she sent the extra dosh that she promised. I know she is just with her two daughters, and in a council/ex council property and, reading between the lines,probably not all that flush. Kind of restores my faith in human nature, and I wish she hadn't sent it, as that wasn't what I asked for. |
