Anyone had any experience of this? I thought I had tweaked my knee after playing squash but have been diagnosed as having this, am absolutely crippled. I've always had a high pain threshold but my God this is up there at the top of the list, hideous pain. Co-codomal and Naproxen isn't really helping much. Any advice appreciated from anyone who has been through this as well.
Squash is a hard sport on the joints TL and I'm no spring chicken anymore. I'll have to knock it on the head especially after this bad injury which is going to take a very long time to get over.

I had same thing Slippy so I know how painful it is - I used to do a lot of running. Naproxen does work, you just need to give it a bit of time. I'm OK now. I also had a cortisone injection in my knee which worked wonders. I felt really down after a while but read side effects of Naproxen, one of which was feeling depressed. Hope you feel better soon. Trust me the tablets will work. Another tip is don't stop taking the tablets when you start to feel better or the pain will come back. I think I was on them for best part of 6 months.

I'm going to the G.P. again tomorrow, maybe I need to get it drained or a cortisone injection. It's very debilitating and could well do without it. Cheers chaps, it's a very nasty thing to have happened but it's not the end of the world in the greater scheme of things but it's not nice.

I felt just the same Slippy but trust me you'll be fine. I could hardly walk when it happened to me. Knee really swelled up and I could feel the heat from my knee through my trousers.

Do Wharburtons make "Baker's Cyst", or is it only available in specialist Delis?
It doesn't LOOK apetising mind you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baker's_cyst#/media/File:Bakers_cyst.jpg

Treatment for a Baker's cyst isn't needed if you don't have any symptoms. Any symptoms you have can be treated at home.
It was a great help

I was speaking to a bloke in his late sixties who'd hurt his back in the gym lifting weights. Three months later and he was still in pain. The trouble is that when you're older you don't mend so quickly.
