Jayda and I were arrested today by Luton police for the crime of wearing "political uniforms" while on a leafleting session in Luton several weeks ago.

We were both interviewed by Luton "criminal investigation department" and then shortly after released.

The video of this particular activity was seen by almost 30 million people and clearly shows a barrage of racism, bigotry and violence directed at Britain First by the local Muslims of Luton.

To our knowledge, none of the local Muslims have been arrested.

The bail conditions, as we expected, are totally outrageous.

Firstly, we are not allowed to enter the entire town of Luton in any way.

Secondly, and more disgraceful, they have been forced to attend a London police station every Saturday to "sign on".

This means that both Jayda and I will be unable to attend any days of action, protests or activities on any Saturday for the next four months!

We are going to apply immediately to the magistrates court to have this part of the conditions challenged.

Please watch the video report below on our website, Facebook or Twitter:

I saw the march on you tube. Some may see it as inflammatory but isn't it the democratic right of people to protest peacefully? All the aggravation and threats of violence came from the local Asians and the supine police stood by and did nothing. It is a scandal that once again the people targeted are those acting within our long standing principles of democratic protest.

21st century British values. Second class justice for some.

I think the fella was found guilty of the offence of wearing a "political uniform". My understanding is that this offence relates back to the days of the British Union Of Fascists back in the 30's. Interesting that a green coat can be seen as a political uniform but fair enough.

What is sauce for the goose is surely sauce for the gander? Most of us want to live under the same laws applied equally and without favour to all. Which begs some fundamental questions for civil liberties. Foremost of which:

Given many Islamic scholars are quite categoric that items of dress such as the Burka and others are not an integral part of the religion and that they are associated with political and radical Islam and given the appalling scenes we have witnessed on our streets when will we be seeing arrests relating to the wearing of this "uniform" for political ends? Don't forget we have had various examples of what many would see as trivial arrests under this legislation like people arrested for red ties and rings then surely it is a matter of time?

Watch this space.

Britain First leader’s Paul Golding and Jayda Fransen were in court today in Medway, Kent, to challenge the draconian and outrageous bail conditions imposed on them by Luton police.

This must go down as one of the most shocking and biased hearings in magistrates history.

The magistrates in question didn’t even discuss the matter – they simply ruled to uphold the dodgy, restrictive and disproportionate bail conditions.

After both sides were heard, the three magistrates retired to make their decision, but reappeared after only a few minutes to make their ruling.

When challenged as to what their reasoning was behind their decision, the chief magistrate was stumped for words and could barely string a sentence together.

It was embarrassing and openly politically biased.

The CPS solicitor acting for the police openly stated that their desire was to stop Paul and Jayda from carrying out any political activities.

They openly said that, yet still the magistrates ruled in their favour.

The CPS solicitor acting for the police stated that he wanted Paul and Jayda “signing in” on a Saturday in a police station in London so that Paul and Jayda wouldn’t have enough time to get to any political activities anywhere else around the country!

He also openly stated that the “Asian” (i.e. Muslim) community of Luton are in uproar over our legal activities.

For what is in reality a petty and non-serious offence (wearing political insignia), the bail conditions are wildly disproportionate.

The “crime” is akin to parking on double yellow lines, but the bail conditions are fit for an out-of-control football hooligan or terror suspect!

Some of the spectators in the gallery, junior solicitors themselves, approached us afterwards to say what a “stitch-up” it was!

For the level of law, rules, regulations and jurisprudence that was being discussed, a few short minutes was no where near enough to come to a decision.

It was almost as if the magistrates had already made their minds up in advance and retired from court only as a token exercise.

Now, Paul and Jayda will have to “sign on” every Saturday at midday in London, making it impossible for them to engage in any political activities till the end of May, despite being a London mayoral candidate!

Paul and Jayda are also banned from the town of Luton, the lower M1 motorway and Luton airport, despite not even being charged for an offence!

Never has such an example of naked political bias been seen in the UK legal system.

The word “corruption” comes to mind!

This puts Britain First in a serious and problematic situation.

Paul and Jayda have an important meeting on Tuesday with the same barrister that gave us victory in the High Court last summer when Luton police tried to get them banned from the town ahead of one of our marches.

Britain is sliding ever so gradually into being a full-on “Police State”.

The freedoms we used to take for granted are being eroded and replaced with a naked totalitarian system that favours leftwing, politically correct causes and is happy to suspend common sense, fairness and decency if the accused happens to be right-wing or patriotic.

To appeal this decision, the only avenue available is to appeal to the High Court in London, which is going to cost in excess of £6,000.

It's a green coat. That's the level of farce our democracy has descended to. Using a law designed to address the rise of fascism in a fascistic way to oppress some people whilst turning a blind eye to flagrant acts of law breaking on the other. On the video which they posted it clearly shows an Asian guy physically attacking one of the protestors.

Was he arrested?

Golding is a former BNP and NF activist with a string of convictions, who the hell is going to vote for him? She is just a lap dog who follows him and repeats his mantra. He keeps trying to tag his mob onto UKIP and says we are patriots together, but that won't happen he would never be allowed into UKIP, he even sent a mob to attack customers at that pub where Nigel got abused with his family.

People say the moderate muslim - if there is such a thing are the extremists!
as the quran is based on sharia law & you can't pick & choose what verses
of the quran your following, the punishment = death by some barbaric method
id guess.

Hence the reason you don't hardly ever see your supposed moderate muslim speak

That would depend on your perspective Burton. Someone opposed to their actions would indeed say they were racists provoking the local Asian population. People who support their action would probably say that this is historically, culturally and fundamentally in its institutions a Christian country and that the cross is the symbol of that.
Report Burton-Brewers • February 20, 2016 4:32 PM GMT
I hate Islam as much as they do, but I could never support BF or their methods. I don't think the public are behind them much either. When they marched in Burton last year the wife's cousin went to watch them, he said they were pretty embarrassing with about 100 turning up and very very few were Burtonians. If they want to get anywhere ditch the crosses and the leader, a chap with his record is no asset.

C4 had a program the other day "that's so 80 (something)" which showed a large mob in london waving signs with death threats and burning effigies etc of Rushdie, 30 years ago, because he wrote a bl**dy book. It was a stark reminder that the warning signs being ignored, the double standards as to who gets lifted for what, the blind eyes being turned, and the existance and appeasement of violent intolerant fanatics, it's all nothing new. It's ironic that the luvvies at C4 news, the channel that reminded us of this, they would want more of it.
Report Eeternaloptimist • February 20, 2016 5:17 PM GMT
It's a definite problem Burton. Who but somebody with little to lose is going to take such a gig on? You can be a relative moderate unconcerned about controlled immigration warning about the problems with aspects of Islam but what will that do to your career? Your public image. You're a virtual certainty for police and media harassment. It's far worse situation now than when Enoch Powell was hounded out of front line politics. Few would sign up for such a storm.

I agree with what you are saying BB in terms of their credibility but again I'd say that's not the issue here.
Some of BFs methods are extreme but it's only them that the police are reacting to whilst turning a blind eye to that of the muslims.
I think unwittingly they have achieved their objective thanks to a police force who's strings are being pulled by government policy.

Jayda Fransen is one brave lady.

They rightly oppose Islam and the Islamification of the greatest civilisation known to man.
The indigenous Brit is kowtowed,he knows that the law applies to him only, knows that a public display of support will have dire consequences.

It is disturbing that the police ignore Islamic law breaking, turn a blind eye to Roma crime but invent crimes for ordinary English people.

The treatment of Tommy Robinson was scandalous,if he was a left wing foreigner the human rights industry would get him millions.

The more Islam takes over, the more extreme the response will have to be.

Mainstream, smooth, clean, polished performers will achieve nothing. I still regret UKIP not saying 'Vote Labour Get Rotherham'.

The BNP were accused of racism and scaremonging when they highlighted Pakistani rape gangs over 10 years ago. History proved them spot on.

Truth comes from unusual sources and the more we look at what is said rather than who is saying it (and what they're wearing) the better for all of us.

OMG

Fascist organizations like the British National Party (BNP) and English Defence League (EDL) are just as dangerous as Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), one English police force claims.
Sergeant John Brooker from Derbyshire Police told Peak FM that home-grown right-wing radicals pose “just as much of a real threat” as those operating overseas, and vowed to treat them the same.

The sergeant added that the BNP and the EDL operated in the same way as terrorist groups, by dividing society and forcing people against one another. He also said right-wing groups could radicalize vulnerable people and drive them commit violent acts.
