Got a huge backlash on twitter about a couple of his jokes last night.....then got in a bit of a huff on twitter, "Will all you sanctimonious f@@kers f@@k the f@@k off."

Most reaction was to the 'bag lady' jibe. He claimed the lady in question was perfectly fine with the remark and was a close friend.

Problem is, us mere mortals on twitter and about 98% of tv audience don't get these in-jokes.

He should have said straight after joke : "It's okay, we are best mates !"

But I think his brain froze due to the booing from the stalls.
