I heard a story where someone had flown from London to Berlin to Manchester as it was cheaper than the London to Manchester train on the same day.
Presumably time wasn't a factor.

Same like how plane from London to LA is cheaper than train from London to Manchester.

There are big differences in train fares for the same route but at different times and days.

Surely this is how it SHOULD be?

Balancing out traffic on the network by moving flexible customers to less busy trains.

I wanted to go from Dumbarton to Oban and was quoted £12.60 yet if I get the same train from Glasgow to Oban which is approx 16 miles longer I can go for £7.50Confused

as in everything else in life ,those with the lower IQ get caught out -but no one seems to care.

pull a stunt to take advantage of  someone in a wheelchair, blind, ethnic mix etc  there would quite rightly be uproard.

Youre born none to clever by no fault of your own and you pay the price Q/L

Here's the Berlin story. Saved £7 by doing an extra 1,017 miles!
