These are mine
1967 in Flley,
Driving up from "Cobble Landing" on a cobbled road, in the rain....
left hand bend and I just went straight on into a lamp post.
Obviously my fault, with lack of experience, but would swear I wasn't going all that fast and it was uphill!

'82....Parked outside a friends house and it was snowing like heck.
A knock on the door and a guy said he hit my car.
My God he certainly did and it was stoved in right down one side!
Have to thank him for his honesty.

Fast forward to '88
This time in Scarborough and heading home in traffic and onto a roundabout.
An extremely fat woman, with a car full of extremely fat kids, pulled out when I was almost upon her, and she didn't have clear passage so I was straight into the side of her.
My car was three weeks old, and her's must have been twenty years old.
None fault to me on that one.

Moving on to '89
Big roundabout A64 eastbound...
Always busy here, and traffic moves at a fair speed, so it's creep stop, creep stop and so on.
Got hit forcibly in the back and this was classic....
Driver said to me  "I thought you had gone"....
Me "no I'm still here"!
None fault to me

Forward to '98
Overloaded builders truck was sitting in the rh lane at a junction. If he was indicating it was no good as the thing was filthy.
I'm moving through to his left and then he is turning left, having taken an easy line, and nothing I could do.
Smack into the side of me as he clearly wasn't checking his mirrors.
Another none fault to me!

The one thing that was common on these is that the vehicles were a pile of **** and shouldn't have been on the road!

Idiot in a Porsche Cayenne ploughed into the back of my car , we were stopped at a mini roundabout waiting our turn.

Stupid old git reversed into my parked white car.......he said he always reversed around the corner rather than doing a 3 point turn .....clearly without even looking !

The only memorable one was when I slid on hard packed snow, went into a petrol station and T-boned a car that was filling up with petrol.
Strangely the car that was filling up with petrol was towed there by a tractor.  So to round it off I bounced off the car and hit the big tractor wheel a whack.
Why do people park in service stations at the pumps?  Morons.

Reversed into a tree in the South of France on a dark, wet night. Hey the tree was on the wrong side of the road. That's the only accient I've ever been to blame. £150 fix.

Was in the back seat of a car on the backroads when my driver crashed. I got 5 stitches and £5k, not my fault.

Not being "to blame" for an accident is not necessarily all it's cracked up to be.

Sometimes it means you aren't driving defensively and are not anticipating the potential irrational behaviour of other idiots on the road.

Some people drive along assuming that just because something shouldn't happen means it won't happen.

For example, someone walks or pulls out into the road unexpectedly.... they shouldn't have, but they did. The experienced driver should expect every other fecker out there to be an idiot and drive accordingly to avoid them... not just smack straight into them and say "shame they are seriously injured but, technically, it wasn't my fault".
