What is it about the tree hugging luvvies?

There's plenty on here like your mikaels, facts, alias, etc but what puzzles me is they advocate what they think are humanitarian responses to issues. Fair enough. The rest of us who are a bit more worldly try to reason with them but they are having none of it. Then when it all goes Dolly Parton they vanish. Till a few months down the line and something else crops up and they dust themselves down and back they pop as if their previous disasters were nothing to do with them.

You'd think they would wise up.
