They look bloody horrible - especially on women.

I'll take a bet that tattooist removers are making far more money than tattooists - and if not at present, most definitely in the near future.
Report kenny mann • January 19, 2016 11:25 PM GMT
Especially the splodgy ones above the arse crack. Tramp Stamps as they're known in the trade.
Report Tommy Toes • January 19, 2016 11:30 PM GMT
They're all vile on women.

Even if a woman isn't very good looking the least thing she could consider is someone having a scrawl in indelible ink in her body.
Do they really think it makes them MORE attractive?

Just what the hell are they thinking about?

Insane.

These gossipy, judgemental, bitchy women don't gather together to pour scorn over photos of people, whether celebrities or 'friends', and say "Wow, look at the tatts on that!" do they?

Nor do any men, as far as I know.

It's one of the biggest mysteries of the 21st century - just like people eating McDonalds muck.

That's hardly true Easter. Zelda, a forumite from a few years back was covered in them, apparently, and she was as bright as a button, as well as being an extremely conpassionate lady.

Guinness, to me it just shouts out "I'm thick, I am." Whenever I see a woman with one.

They might not be - but that's the first impression you get, and we all know how much first impressions count.

To bugger your body up with something so permanent must mean you're bloody thick actually though.

If you fancy a tattoo, why not just scrawl something on your body with a felt pen and not wash that area for a week or two and see what you think of it then?

So simple, it's unbelievable why people don't think about doing it first before they desecrate their bodies.

Although not as bad, I think piercings can also ruin the looks of a beautiful woman. In the ears fine, but in the cheeks and around the mouth? They also leave marks when removed, so once done it's a permanent disfigurement

tattoos were the mark of the slave in past centuries. slaves and sex workers were tattooed, the chinese still tattoo their sex workers as a mark of ownership.

Well done Tommy on those bravura comments. Absolutely revolting to see ANY tattoos at the best of times, worst of all of course on a woman. (Apart from that sexy darts walk-on girl who has "I Worship Alun2005 and Count Ted equally" tattooed on her pert derriere, naming no names).

I don't doubt that benefit payments have funded a fair sized proportion of the tattoos committed to skin this last 20 years or so. Now we have the reality of the taxpayer also paying for the removal of them. How insane is that?

You see, our already overstretched International Health Service is funding some tattoo removal. Widely reported over the last few years, an example link below.

To many people, they always create a negative impression.

I saw one once with ''Fighting Irish'' tattooed on his back.

I wonder how many scrapes that got him into.

Report Make my hay • January 22, 2016 4:31 PM GMT
Not only do most tattoos look ridiculous and cost loadsamoney, but also the inks could contain heavy metals known to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm.
Heavy metals used for colours include mercury (red); lead (yellow, green, white); cadmium (red, orange, yellow); nickel (black); zinc (yellow, white); chromium (green); cobalt (blue); aluminium (green, violet); titanium (white); copper (blue, green); iron (brown, red, black); and barium (white).

Manufacturers are not required to reveal their ingredients or conduct trials, and recipes may be proprietary. Professional inks may be made from iron oxides (rust), metal salts, plastics.
Homemade or traditional tattoo inks could be made from pen ink, soot, dirt, blood, or other ingredients.

I think most (not all lol)  people have spend a  lot of time   reaching the final decision on their tattoo designs, I wonder how much time they spent before hand researching the ingredients of the ink from  their tattooist.

I'm in the minority here, but I don't see the problem with them. I have no idea why people would get generic designs though. Something that is very personal to you and perhaps a reminder of a person/event seems quite fitting.

hard to know what you mean by "right wing Tory" as the left routinely refer to the socialist radical progressives like mussolini or hitler as a right wing tories. if you are meaning the most conservative person you know then it's possible that you only know one person which could explain the discrepancy.
