This sort of event is now so commonplace in UK life that the media can hardly be bothered to report it. They don't even pretend to be shocked by it anymore.

People have such short memories and attention spans and assume that if there haven't ben any major terrorist attacks that the threat doesn't exist. Several punters on this very forum are guilty of that.
The security services working their arses off to try to prevent things and nobody giving them any credit. Sometimes, unfortunately, it seems as if they need someone to slip through the net and actually commit something horrific to rouse people from their complacency.... then they complain that the security services aren't doing their jobs properly. ![]() |
