I have to create new ones for new job/phone. What happens to the old ones though? Do they just fill up with porn/viagra/penisenlargement offers? Can I cancel the old email addresses please?

i closed one because it was getting 300 + spam emails a day,
2 years later i wanted another e-mail address, the one i wanted wasn't available so BT suggested another, i accepted, it turned out to be the one id closed 2 years before, & it had half a millions unread emails  |

Answer: Infinite.
Somes ISP email, or with a domain, that allows you to put anything to the left of the @. If it's a free email they can make the dormant and clear them out if not used for 6 months / a year or whatever, and may eventually delete them. |
