Do you lot actually base your holiday decisions on a 100,000-to-1 chance of being blown up by a terrorist? I've got no interest in going to the Middle East because the culture just seems too different, but I wouldn't rule out any other entire regions, personally.

FWIW in 2015 the algarve had it's best year for 10 years in respect of tourist numbers. Packed with Germans, Dutch,Scandis when I was there in September. All avoiding Turkey, Dubai, Egypt, North Africa

Last I heard The Algarve had been invaded by South American's committing particularly violent muggings against tourists.

Spain should be ok as they aren't involved in Air Strikes.
