I'm with Virgin and getting 92.42 Mbps..very fast.Previously with Sky broadband and was just touching over 3.8..what are you lot getting?

2 Years ago I was getting Viola Cable, 150 Mbps(Actual 133) for £20/$30 a month including 2 x De-coders inc Films + Sports, Premiership football(3pm K.O.) that could Not be viewed Live in The U.K. Spanish, Italian, German, Ukraine, Russian Football, Live ice-Hockey etc;
Not bad for a "Retarded European Country" Ukraine. Welcome to Rip Off Britain. |

Blimey..after talking to Virgin cc today am now getting 160 Mbps..didn't realise i could get faster speeds by using a Ethernet cable..thought the 92 was good(wireless only) but this cable is the nuts..so quick i'm getting to sites before iv finished typing

Wasn't that long ago that 10Mbps via a cable to the computer 2 ft away was the fastest you could get.

At this moment in time I a have a Mobile Phone, Lumia 435(Not 4G Capable), Tethering its Data over to my Laptop Wirelessly, Speed is 2.49 Mbps.

If you can stream without buffering on all the devices in your house, do you really need 150mpbs?
How many laptops do you have your dirty videos open on at once?!!!! How fast is your average wifi link to your router, it's a fraction of that. |

TalK Talk connection here, just upgraded to fibre (still comes via the BT phone line though)
40mbs when my wintel machine in cabled into the router. 22mbs when using wireless (even when feet away from the router) The rest of the familys Apple devices are getting 35mbs when using wireless. I had no idea that using windows would slow down the speed so much. I understand from my lurking here that a call out to Tommy Toes will yield a full explanation on the technicalities |

I'm also with Virgin ...and they're telling me I'm being "supercharged" ??? At best I'm getting 54 Mbps ...at worse 26Mbps ???? WTF ! |
