I remember Terry Yorath's lad dying when he was about 15 many years ago I think he was about the same age as me. Heart defect I think. I think that was the first occasion when I thought what a strange and capricious thing life is.

Since you and I have exchanged many courtesies and pleasantries in the past, I will assumes that other influences are at play here. In the meantime, I will stick to my suggestion that you should stfu UNTIL the facts of this very sad situation are more widely known.

Well ye have spoiled that by telling me to STFU. I was just reporting on the death of a young cricketer. And as i could have assumed all things nasty and unwholesome involving  his death; i did not. I guessed at a cricketing accident. Therefore your comment (twice) was uncalled for and i will assume that is because he is from your area you are more upset than i am.

The death of Sussex cricketer Matthew Hobden at the age of 22 is being investigated by police.

Hobden was found dead in a private property to the west of Forres on the Moray coast near Inverness on Saturday, a Police Scotland spokesman said.

His death is currently being treated as "unexplained" and there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances, he added.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal, Scotland's public prosecutor.
