Geek advice about facetime ?

Can anyone advice how to facetime between an Ipad and MS facebook account ? Does it have to be Ipad to Ipad or via Skype,trying to talk to friends on hioliday without the telephone charges ! TIA

FaceTime is for ipad and iPhone, use skype

No need to pay for calls nowadays. Just use FB Messenger or Facetime, WhatsApp, Line, WeChat, Tango to name just a few.
All you need is a decent Internet connection.
