I would like to see a total revamp, asking people who don't know anything about horse racing to present. Am I the only person who would like Dianne Abbott to be out in the country on Grand National day, calling them over Beecher's? She'd be great in the Michael O'Hehir role.

I wouldn't like to see any of the CH4 gimps. Fresh channel; fresh start. There's a gazillion Racing people they could use, and not a snotty (or snooty) silver spooned JC wannabee in sight..

Isn't Jordan into her horses? The Morning Line with her paps and flaps out would surely draw in some extra viewers. Perhaps they'd have to change it from the Morning Line to Babestation but that's a small price to pay.

ITV are understood to have agreed to show between 25 and 40 days of the best racing on the calendar on ITV 1, including the Grand National, Cheltenham, Royal Ascot, Goodwood, the Derby and the other Classic races plus Kempton on Boxing Day

Big Mac is too old. We don't want him doing a Tommy Cooper on screen. Chapman in that role or any other would be interesting. 25% would hate his guts. 75% would think he was like David Dickinson on speed and love him.

I can see it now : Zara Phillips gives jockey-du-jour a turkish massage whilst extracting nuggets of horse-related info.....perhaps 2 min chunks before each race ! ........Yes !

Leaving aside the turkish bath they could do a lot worse than do the odd celebrity interview with prominent racing people. Some people who are famous getting those in the know explaining some of the concepts we take for granted but which baffle ordinary people. Anything to demystify and make the game more accessible.

I remember last year or the year before (not quite on that exact theme) but Lydia did an interview with Ricci and it was really very interesting and informative.

Should use celebrity owners who are already involved with the sport to get the channel flickers stopping on the programme rather than rushing past, and giving a better bridge between experts and know-nothings.
Jeremy Kyle Judy Dench Any number of footballers Plenty more examples I'm sure you can add
They have put money into racing, enjoy it and are passionate about it without giving the expert twaddle which for every person that gets it there are plenty more who don't.
