One is stupid. Something has got to be done to stop the world's population growing and growing. It's something like 3 times higher than it was 60 years ago and rising and rising.

Doesn't take a genius to work out that if everybody is living longer, fewer babies and youngsters are dying of disease, crops are producing more nutritious food, medicine continues to move on, mass migration from third to first world continues apace then a few windmills aren't really going to cut it. How long did it take to produce the first billion people on earth? My guess is about 100-150 years ago. That's from the very beginning hundreds of thousands of years ago. What do we stand at now? About 8 billion? Thank goodness our generation has lived such a good life now. We've been incredibly lucky.
