Apparently there is very little practised religion.  Thanks to their supreme leader Kim Il Sung, two generations later men are considered masters of their own destiny.  This is  laughably ironic considering we are talking about North Korea, but what a much better world it would be if that sentiment could be adopted elsewhere.

How does that work in N. Korea again?

From Open Doors:

'North Korea is the most dangerous place in the world to be a Christian. The state has an iron grip on its citizens; any who deviate from the two ideologies of 'Juche', which points to man's self-sufficiency, and 'Kimilsungism', the god-like worship of the nation's leading dynasty, are considered enemies of the state.

Thousands of Christians are incarcerated in prison camps in North Korea, and while there are many secret believers, they face arrest, disappearance, torture, or public execution if discovered. Yet the church there is not only surviving, but growing.'

I think it's fair to say this isn't a template the world should be quick to adopt. SadSad

Obviously the belief system that people are the masters of their own destiny isn't dependent on butchering religious people.  The belief system is positive and doesn't depend on believing something that clearly isn't true, unlike any religion.  A world based on falsehoods is a template for dishonesty.

Klingon I thought

Klingon not much different from Scientology....

According to Hubbard, much of the galaxy was ruled tens of millions of years ago by the Galactic Confederacy, comprising 26 stars and 76 planets, including Earth, then known as Teegeeack. The confederacy was controlled by a tyrant named Xenu, who sent people from other planets to Earth because of over-crowding. Their souls attached themselves in clusters to human bodies, so that each person on Earth became a collection of entities, rather than a single personality. Part of the mission of Scientology is to rid people of these extra entities, known as body thetans. Religious scholar Hugh Urban writes that the Sea Org resembles a group within the Galactic Confederacy, known as the "Loyal Officers" who overthrew Xenu.

As ridiculous as it sounds, old established religions are just as ridiculous

Give it 2,000 years and if Scientology is still being practised, Hubbard will be embellished as the equivalent to the son of god, who saved the world from mass destruction.
