Cheers Rob, there's a few stations like that. Something to do with wanting to close the stations but the bureaucracy involved isn't worth it, so to keep the contract the station operator gets one train stopping a week which means they haven't officially closed it.

Lots of data there for hard-core fans. Really these should have had more publicity but the press prefer Trump and Federal Bank stories from abroad. UK rail is a qualified success under privatisation. Record passenger numbers, and record low subsidy per passenger mile. The principle of not trying to fix something that isn't broke should apply, but the public don't agree. They want nationalisation and lower fares - which means more handouts to rich people ( the richest 20% take 60% of journeys ).

Blink and you miss Teeside Station, I have Never known a train stop there,
Google maps reckon it takes 11 minutes to walk the 0.6 miles from the station to the airport,
Try it with a suitcase (23kg) a laptop bag and hand luggage bag (10kg),
You then have to pay £6 Local Authority charge to go through search and security,
You then get Fondled by the Skinhead Tattooed Lesbo or the G@y Grandad who goes for your b@lls,
its a Fooked up Airport. (Only 8 -10 Planes a Day)
