Was that the rocket Flash Gordon used! Looked a bit primitive.

I'm sure you all agree with me that the event was lent much dignity and gravitas by virtue of those "Good luck Tim" filmed tributes graciously given by a number of Z-List Celebrities. (Norton a particular favourite here).

It surely would have been even more meaningful still had the BBC followed its normal agenda and parachuted in a whole load of disabled, GBLT (or whatever the acronym is), and Ethnic Minority Pretendy Celebrities to participate.

My own 'best wishes' naturally pale into insignificance in comparison with those from the Gods above, but "Good Luck Mr Peake" - here's hoping that you have a steady Wi-Fi connection up there on Betelgeuse to read it.

Report ooO{Alpha Centauri}Ooo • December 15, 2015 8:13 PM GMT
I concur with jumper, a bit of a non event which is overhyped, just another day at the office for the Russians.  Meanwhile Hom's residents seem chuffed to get Assads troops back in town, maybe the lesser of two evils, but certainly got buried by our media.

I am delighted and relieved they arrived at the international space station safely, and wish them all the best.
Their families I'm sure are also very happy.
Very brave people.

But there is a new problem..

Can younger members of the forum please go to bed?

The thing is, the ISS has been flying over UK just before Christmas in recent years and children have been taken outdoors to see it.
It has been kindly misrepresented as Santa's sleigh going over.
Not sure how this can be covered up now.
