Come on, twizzle, he is a 'learner', he may have some good reasons why he is not up to speed on this computer malarkey,

You just have to keep persevering, learner.

if you wait for a while it will become obsolete and be replaced by something else equally useless, don`t worry that's best...never did get the hang of fax machines.

To beat the Christmas rush, make sure you post your e mails before the recommended latest posting date.

I remember spending hours trying to tell people how to send an email in the dial-up days!

Because being on the net was about 4p a minute you had to explain that they write it offline, then go online to send it!

My mate was going mad cos he said he had sent a really abusive email to his girlfriend, and he was delighted when I'd told him it was still sat in drafts and hadn't been sent!

I guess this is old hat now, but in Switzerland (Interlaken) around 10 years ago I went into a phone box to make a phone call, and what should I see before me but an email machine as well as the standard public phone. And yes, I was able to send a 'test message' email to one of my accounts free of charge.

Is this a technical improvement rolled out to most European public phone boxes now?  (Never seen one in the UK needless to say).

Probably for the same reason that you don't see directories and Yellow Pages in phone boxes anymore!

Actually you don't see many phone boxes either!

I should imagine they don't put directories in phone boxes anymore because they get nicked.
