4 plates of treats been left in the works kitchen.  1 x jaffa cakes, 1 x choc chip cookies, 2 x shortbread.  jaffas and cookies all gone in minutes and 2 plates of godforsaken shortbread titbits remaining and will still remain at the end of the day when they get chucked in the bin before hometime.  ONly the scots could make something that is 90% sugar and butter but still tastes sh1te.

Typical Scotch thing to give people as a present, shortbread... too tight to splash out on the longbread. Mischief

It's a huge export industry in Scotland. A lot of Scottish are in bread of the short variety.

Might be going against the grain, but I'll guarantee if I put out the same selection, the shortbread would be gone in seconds!

shortbread's lovely. It clogs up all around your teeth and then has to be swept away with hot tea.

Mind you it has to be the proper stuff - in a tartan coloured tin and a scottie dog on the front.
