Gary fckin Nuwman, whap a pile of stinking sh1te.
Heard worse songs although I thought the same at the time.Far better than today's offerings.
Too Much Too Young by The Specials was a bit of a classic tune back in the day.
Jimmy Osmonde getting to number 1 with Long Haired Lover From Liverpool finished me with both Top Of The Pops and pop music.

Very talented guys found, rockney almost by mistake the rest as they say...........
I have always had a soft spot for chas and dave, because I like their music, I suppose I am a sort of cockney and I fancy chas! Chas is an example of a guy who is scruffy, has a horrible beard and not good looking, BUT he is very much a man and that is dead sexy.
I used to go to Brighton racecourse quite often and then one day to my joy they announced that chas and dave were going to play there before racing. Double Bubble!!! Unfortunately they cut them off after they played only about ten minutes as they said it was scaring the horses!

Chas and Dave musical legends. England`s answer to The Proclaimers.
BTW Chas and Dave the only ones worth listenting too in that pile of rubbish.
Never liked the Specials.

I remember when people use to take the mick out of them on wearing those jumpers....

I think annie has spurned BBs advances previously and he's still upset.
Time to accept that annie is out of your league BB and move on.

Aka and foxy, you are both lovely, thank you
I hope that all the aggro does not start again
At the moment it is so nice just to post and communicate with my fellow chit chatters

When I saw BBs inanely trite contribution I immediately thought OH that's a great idea p1ss off someone who's been on here twice as long as you, that's just what the forum needs.
The Chaser, in your dreams,

Brilliant!
Brilliant!
You have reminded me, foxy, that in less than a year I will have been on the forum for ten years. And still I get grief
That probably means that I have been betting on betfair for more than ten years as I am pretty sure that I did not join the forums for about 18 months after joining betfair. I could be wrong though as it was a long time ago.

Diva, I was sooo pissed off at the time Don't get me wrong, I did not disagree with the decision, but why have them start playing just a half hour, I think it was, before the start of the first race! Piss up in a brewery comes to mind.
I was even more disgruntled because he had not yet sang my favourite record of his, 'Ain't no pleasing you

Lets av a sing song.
Ain't no pleasing you, sang that to my ex missus, you only have my word for this but there really wasn't enough Icing in this World for her cake. Still love her though, there's no hope for me.

I can imagine your disappointment, Annie.
Talking of Chas and Dave reminds me of a young man I used to support. He had learning disabilities. He loved Chas and Dave, and would play their CDs non stop, very loudly, when he was at home.
I'm not really a fan but I spent many happy hours with him, singing and dancing around his house to Chas and Dave

Oh Diva, that is really sweet. I cannot imagine a man doing that
annie!!!! being a decent person is not dictated by or restricted to gender, but one particular gender may be a good few lengths in front, I'll give you that,
That was a great wee vid Diva. Knew the song but had never seen the vid before.
I sort of agree with you, foxy. In a way.
But women are definitely more likely to be kinder than men. It is not the fault of men that this should be so, it is just the way they are usually made. They cannot help it.

On a serious note annie, I have always helped people even complete strangers, I would rather do some one a good turn than a bad one, the other side of my nature is that I find it hard to accept help, which is weird, It's not false pride or anything like that, I'm just more comfortable giving.
Now some people would say that's an unbalanced character trait or character flaw., maybe so, nothing I can do about it, I have met quite a few people in life that share these traits, but not as many as I would like. Hey ho.

I think you`ll find that is a very common trait btf. However, if you help someone in need and they offer you kindness when their fortunes change, you should graciously accept it, whether you need it or not because by doing so it gives them there self respect back. When the miners were on strike, I used to buy a large group of them beer when they were skint. When they got redundancy money I didn`t need to buy a drink for about a year and even now when I go to the pub, drink after drink appears before me. I wouldn`t like to offend them by refusing, so cheers
went to a buddys leaving party a few years ago and guests of honour were good old chas and dave.very down to earth, played their best toons, were a great laugh and a fine night was had by all.john smith was his name and he worked for the sunday people so guess that carried some clout
Great stuff tmm, absolutely right,to refuse in the those cases would be quite wrong.
Chas and Dave are great guys and very much under rated imo.
You`re right foxy, I wouldn`t want to hurt their feelings
I feel an uisce bheata coming on , now did I fill the ice tray!!.
Dave is a supremely gifted musician. Joe Brown told me that.
Yeh I know, I've seen him half a dozen times in the last 5 years or so.
Enjoy, but don`t put ice in it. Sacrilege!

did you see the documentary kenny, They were brilliant session musicians, last time I saw Joe B was at my mates wedding (Chris Cole, George Coles son) Joe was helping his music career, always seemed to have a lot of time for people.
Always at Halifax Tel. It was tragic when he lost 2 long standing band members within a couple of months about 5 years ago, but he plodded on after a break, and brought his son in who is very good.
No ice tmm, I know it's sacrilegious, I used an age old mixer, more uisce bheata, works great, Sláinte, hic.
yeah taught by the master ken,if you ever go down to hunstanton to see him, heres a little tip,
he always goes to the local curryhouse just down the road after the gig,
and he just might say join him and the band for a bite to eat

It was on BB 4 not so long ago sure it will be repeated, Both accomplished muscians it shows the progression into rockny.
I'll do that Tel, I love a curry, in fact just had one. I'll keep my eyes peeled for that foxy, in fact I usually scan BBC4 a few days ahead so surprised I missed it.

These are the 2 guys who very sadly died Tel, on Joe's immediate left and right. They were a supremely tight outfit with Jim Capaldi's brother (who's still with Joe) on drums.

ah, we both picked the Concert For George, aka'. What a great gig that was.
Yes it was fantastic.
I knew about the guy to his right Kenny, I think it was you who told me, but I didn't know about the other.
Both look not only young but healthy as well.

I loved the whole concert and thought Joes I'll see you in my dreams was the ideal number to end it with.
Neither had reached 50 foxy, nothing untoward like drugs or anything. Just bloody bad luck. I was really shocked by both deaths.
Joe always reminds me of Denis Law. Only a year apart as well at 74 and 75.
Same here, we're not all as young as you Kenny, some of us need more sleep. Good night.
In October 2012 they were subject of the BBC Four documentary Chas & Dave: Last Orders, .....been repeated of course cheers,
