I ordered an item from Germany yesterday, to get to me today and paid a premium for the service.

Here's what happened....Latest update: Wednesday, 9 Dec
17:00    Delay in delivery due to weather or natural disaster
Leeds, GB
Carrier: Amazon Logistics, Tracking #: Q60234108253
10:15    Out for delivery
Leeds, GB
03:23    Parcel arrived at a carrier facility
Leeds, GB
Tuesday, 8 Dec
21:21 Parcel has been handed over to the carrier and is in transit...

So at 03:23 it was with the carrier just 18 miles away and on it's way to me at 10:15.

Waited in all day to receive it, and now have the insulting message that bad weather, or natural disaster have prevented delivery!

What a load of sh!te!!!

"The van's broken down" was always the naffest excuse, but would have more credence than this sh!t.

I remember breaking down on the way to a meeting, but gave a much more plausible excuse! Angry

If that is all you have to worry about in life then you are blessed Aunty Post, my missus had a miscarriage three weeks ago and she hasn't stopped crying since.

... it might have started vibrating in the back of the delivery van so he had to have it checked out by Special Branch but didn't want to embarrass you by admitting they've opened it up, know what it is and taken the batteries out. Mischief

Bloody hell Slippy, sorry to hear that, the last few years have been tough on you, hope your missus is getting better.

Don't feel too bad AP the two things are totally unrelated, I know what Slippy means though, when bad things happen to us then the daily moaning about  trivial things can be really upsetting.

You know...we live in such a "Hi-Tech" world today and expect everything to be faultless.

We whine and moan if the forum is down for five minutes and if the API is down we are almost suicidal!

Thinking back to the early days of TV and we spent half the day watching "The Potter's Wheel" interlude whilst hoping
that something even more riveting would com on soon!

Yes, I have been through the mincer in recent times btf. I just looked at her one day a month or so ago and her glowing face as she looked different, her hair was all shiny, her shape was changing and Mrs. Blue told me she was pregnant. Wasn't to be though this time.Cry Absolutely devastated.
