Newsreader just passed it over with one sentence after the storm headline on BBC. Man stabbed. Attacker arrested.

Syria not mentioned.

How do the BBC keep getting away with it?

Just saw phone footage of the police with the plonker face down, and some woman seems to be trying to get involved and pushed back. What is she thinking?

The probem is that it doesn't take much for a nutter to hurt innocent people. I wonder if any British person ever stabbed someone in 1941 shouting "this is for Tobruk", and if not, what's changed? Perhaps the BBC could explain it to us.

"Actually this is for Lybia" whould be a better example, given that despite what stupid people think, it's not syria we're attacking, it's bad people who happen to be there..

Read Flat Earth News. Once upon a time, media outlets waited for a story to be verified by 3 or 4 official sources. Now most media outlets rely on just one source. Whether this attack ends up being terrorist related or not, in the eyes of the world, it definitely is terrorist. But that's the way of 24 hour news. Story first, facts a long 100th+ on the list.

Report dustybin • December 6, 2015 8:03 AM GMT
What will be interesting here will be if this attack is defined as a terrorist incident, him charged on terrorist related charges and then sentenced in court as such, will the politicians then tell us 'no no it can't be due to our actions it must be more cryptic than that'?

But the difference will be in the judicial approach.
If it's terrorism and the defence council cites reasons as 'because of Syria' (or whatever it is he's saying) then will the politicians take it upon themselves to determine the real causation themselves and not the court?

Likely another false flag to rally public support for the bombings.

Unless it's a false flag to rally opposition to the bombings on the grounds it will stir up homicidal maniacs with easy access to kitchen knives to undertake "revenge" attacks, as some politicians feared would happen.
Report dustybin • December 6, 2015 11:27 AM GMT
Either this guy was a nutter who simply used Syria as an excuse and will therefore be tried under normal law.

Or it's a terrorist offence and he will be tried under terrorism acts.

If it's the latter then there's a problem which I suspect will result in closed court proceedings and a court order to stifle information about the case being released.
The last thing politicians want is for a judge to determine guilt based on the actions of the state, and not infact a desire for a caliphate in Britain.
It would ofc be very suspect then if it's a closed court based on a nutter who stabs and utters remarks about the decisions taken by politicians.

Breaking News!!!

BBC are about to lead with the nutter being a former straight A student who was loved by all.  He was radicalised when he went for a day out in Skegness and came back a different person.

His family say they are shocked, and blame the British System.

Their lawyer, Mr Mumbojumbo said that David Cameron had blood on his hands, and he would be seeking compensation for his client's harrowing ordeal.
Report alun2005 • December 6, 2015 1:29 PM GMT
Apparently we ARE now once again a Multicultural Paradise, with everyone living together happily.

I know this because a passer-by at a Leytonstone crime scene shouted 'You ain't no Muslim bruv' at a man suspected of carrying out knife-attacks. The words were then gormlessly repeated and re-Tweeted by people with nothing else to do, with the left-wing media then ludicrously exaggerating this non-phenomenon as unimpeachable proof that there is no such thing as a dangerous Islamist in Britain. (I think the luvvie media will also point to the fact that a nice-looking lady in a headscarf won a TV baking competition a few weeks ago as further evidence that all is well and everyone is completely integrated).

Be on your way officers, for apparently there is nothing nasty in Leytonstone, London or Luton that requires your over-zealous policing.
Report HH Sultan Vinegar • December 6, 2015 1:49 PM GMT
Was the person who said ' you aint no moslem bruv" a moslem?

If so it seems that the bar has been set so low that a Muslim who's not in favour of random stabbings is hailed as some kind of hero.
