BF used to allow betting in spain but the spanish government then stopped it. There was an ongoing saga about paying for a license or in some way give them money, I though it was kind of resolved. THere a thread called betfair around the world wiki or such on general betting that discusses countries it works in.

As a thought, if the roaming isnt too much and you're desperate, would trying usign your phone briefly perhaps work, if the connection given out is by your UK phone company? Betfair will just look at that.

I used the hotel wifi for the bet last night and the wifi in a bar to catch up on the bet this afternoon. Bayern the only team to let me down. Whats the chances ?!

Well that might be your answer, bar may be an IP address well known to be in spain, hotel wifi might give an IP of corporate Radisson or whoever, or some 3rd party that does it for them, which isnt obviously from Spain.

Is it a big hotel chain? At least your hotel wifi worked, saying the hotel has wifi and you get 0.5bars if you stand in the hall and 1978 modem speeds is not uncommon Sad

I think you may be right, the hotel is a global chain. The free hotel wifi is very good but limited to half hour per day unless you pay. Back in the same bar as yesterday and cant get on the app or main site but can still talk bollock$ on here. Oh well, watching Newcastle Liverpool in the sun !!

Must be a licence issue, tried some other accounts. PP works fine, 365 has same problem as here.

The chances are that the Spanish cops will be banging on your hotel door and throwing you in the clink. Shocked

Traditional bookmaker sites can be accessed in spain, its the exchanges like BF that are outlawed. If you desperately need to use it get a proxy to hide your address, there have been plenty of threads explaining it.
