Passed away today aged 76. Wonderful actor. Brilliant as Major Mohn in Colditz and of course as Raffles. Appeared in lots of tv series over the years. Personally, I shall always remember his fantastic portrayal of Toby Meres in Callan. Not many of the great Callan cast left now. Sad

Thanks Anthony for the enjoyment you gave us as an actor over the years.

yes a very able and charismatic actor in his day. Didn't he once play an amiable villain in an episode of Minder?

RIP

Sad news.

Very good in Colditz and I remember him in Minder. More recently (last 10 years or so) he's been in New Tricks and Coronation Street.

RIP.

He was a very good actor in my opinion. I liked him particularly in 'The Illustrious Client'.

If ever there was to be a film about Mark Prescott then I think he would have been a good choice to play him.

I was watching an episode of Department `S` last night and Anthony Valentine was in it as a villain. He appeared in so many tv series over the years.

Mohn was brilliant, particularly the way Valentine made it plausible for a man to be a confidant of Hitler who also hates and fears the SS, and a courageous and ruthless war hero who ends up begging favours off the prisoners before simply running away.

Yes - good idea TMM.

Apologies - should have written that 'The Illustrious Client' was an episode of Sherlock Holmes featuring Jeremy Brett and Edward Hardwicke. A very young Kim Thomson appeared too.
