Good call topshot, if you really want to see the difference between unaltered talent (studio altered) have a look at this, Cher sounds like a demented lip licking sheep in the shadow of Greg Allman, it's really worth a watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5wP1Ph4gKA

MD, did you have a listen??. Was I right, or was I right.

topshot, thank you for your "caring" inquiry, the answer is no, you see I only had 3 glasses in total, my heart meds would not tolerate more, unfortunately the meds are notorious for causing sleep deprivation.
My comment " I KNOW YOU'RE NOT TOO FCKIN BRIGHT," musically. was not aimed at anyone on this fred, sorry for the unintended confusion, my fault, wine and meds are bad bedfellows. ![]() |

Evening MD
, yes not a great song, I just happen to be an Allman fan. Chers dreadful vibrato would put a hammer drill to shame, I think she is probably forcing air into the pharynx and that is causing the dreadful row, ![]() ![]() |

By:
I'd never heard of Gregg Allman
. Was he in a group?I love Cher but she didn't sound good in that video. I'll find a nice Cher song. Brb. |

Bito, from wiki...The Allman Brothers Band were an American rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1969 by brothers Duane Allman and Gregg Allman, as well as Dickey Betts, Berry Oakley, Butch Trucks, and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson,
They were always fighting over the lack of naked group hugs. apparently!! ![]() ![]() |

I may be mistaken but I don't think the Allman Bros liked butch trucks either.

Ok, one was a bus...
[Duane] Allman was riding his motorcycle at a high speed at the intersection of Hillcrest Avenue and Bartlett Street as a flatbed truck carrying a lumber crane approached.[59] The flatbed truck stopped suddenly in the intersection, forcing Allman to swerve his Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle sharply to the left to avoid a collision. As he was doing so, he struck either the back of the truck or the ball on the lumber crane and was immediately thrown from the motorcycle.[59] The motorcycle bounced into the air, landed on Allman and skidded another 90 feet with Allman pinned underneath, crushing his internal organs.[60] Though he was alive when he arrived at the hospital, despite immediate emergency surgery, he died several hours later from massive internal injuries. On November 11, 1972, slightly inebriated and overjoyed at the prospect of leading a jam session later that night, Oakley crashed his motorcycle into the side of a bus, just three blocks from where Duane had been killed in a bike accident.[72] He declined hospital treatment and went home, but gradually grew delirious. He was taken to the hospital shortly thereafter and died of cerebral swelling caused by a fractured skull.[73] Oakley was buried directly beside Duane at Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon, Georgia. |

Cher does a great version of a Glen Campbell song - not GC but the guy who wrote for GC - called Just This One Time (or summat like that)...Cher sang it on the Carol Burnett show - not convinced it's live, though...fookin' lovely..."Ladies and gentlemen, my friend Cher!" says Burnett.
Cher had a great nose, bod and hair - should have avoided plastic surgery like the plague. |

Jimmy Webb is the songwriter.

Cher - Just This One Time Glen Campbell version is just as good in a different way...baffled as to how a great song like this can just disappear, off the radar, like the wealth of billionaire Craig Whyte. |
