"The USA". Well that's why they have (soviet design) AK's and (soviet era) armour then, you tools.
Is the US famous for their manufacture of soviet small arms and old weaponary supplied to arab states and captured by these sorts of people? Do ANY of you people even have any sort of clue if you see one or the other? No, it's always, if in doubt blame .. bankers, or ... the US .. or .. ..never the truth. We see on tv the same old footage of a captured BMP or T-62 such, and somehow to you, that's "the west's" fault... |

Mosul too. Stiil, Just Checking can set us straight...
Iraqi security forces lost 2,300 Humvee armored vehicles when Islamic State overran the northern city of Mosul in June 2014, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said on Sunday in an interview with Iraqiya state television. Coupled with previous losses of American weapons, the conclusion is simple: The United States is effectively supplying Islamic State with tools of war the militant group cannot otherwise hope to acquire from its patrons. |

Wooo humvees? Woo CBS taking a snipe at the US, there's a shocker?
I've seen many times on TV footage of the "armour" they've captured with smug comments about its origin being US, and it was soviet. I know the difference between what is basically a thick skinned arnie land rover that hip hop fans might like, and a battle tank or APC. And even it they DID capture them, does that mean they supplied them? If I give you a $10 note, and then you get mugged, and I supplying muggers? Of course not. But lefties are so desparate to hate on the US, they'll try any sort of convoluted logic to justift it. That's, even at your best, what you're trying to do. It's pathetic. |

OP asked 'Where are ISIL getting their weapons from?' not who is supplying them.
Obviously CBS are just making sh!t up... http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/foreign-policy/item/20914-fleeing-iraqi-troops-leave-u-s-weapons-for-isis-again http://blogs.reuters.com/great-debate/2015/06/02/dude-wheres-my-humvee-iraqi-equipment-losses-to-islamic-state-are-out-of-control/ https://www.rt.com/news/263769-iraq-isis-humvees-weapons/ http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/islamic-state/11616780/Iraqi-army-abandoned-tanks-artillery-and-Humvees-to-Isil-in-fall-of-Ramadi.html and an older story, from a sourse you'd no doubt approve... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-153210/Rumsfeld-helped-Iraq-chemical-weapons.html |

I try not to get involved in such things but from the shrapnel I've seen with your converations with Akabula, in my mind I have a vague the impression you're the sort of stereotypical anti-British anti-UK celtic supprting left wing wingnut to whom any intelligent thing I say won't make any impression anyway.
I may be wrong, but I think I'll leave it at that. But I might jsut say that given the weapon of choice and serious hardware these people use are : the AK and RPG, both soviet, yet you guys chose to target the forgetable land rover they might, maybe, have travelled in, because it might be US, says all any intelligent observer might might need to know about you and your prejudice. It's like blaming last Friday's slaughter on Fiat, if they drove up in Pandas... |
|
By:
I've yet to see you say anything intelligent but, as you say, it may not make an impression anyway, given that I support Celtic.
You could always educate the rest of the chit-chat tools though. |

I know next to nowt about military hardware/equipment, whereas you seem an expert JC, but here's a list of stuff that IS apparently have, or had, in their possession:
Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk M113 Armored Personnel Carrier M117 Guardian ASV Cougar MRAP HMMWV (Humvee) - laughable, I know HMMWV M1114 UAH (Up-Armored Humvee) - almost as risible, probably Oshkosh MTVR (Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement) Rock Island Arsenal M198 155mm General Dynamics / Raytheon FIM-92 Stinger All US-manufactured, seemingly. |

HMMWV (Humvee) - laughable, I know
They are actually very handy for picking the kids up from school... ![]() |

Never mind the weapons i do wish they would stop making videos of themselves butting cardboard chess boards and jumping through hoops slower than an Italian on a battlefield. My chuckle button is sore with laughter.
It's all very embarrassing but does go some way to explain why their favourite targets are women and children, and of course wheelchair users. I won't mention chasing Yazidis through the desert and murdering babies. Oooops, i did.. |

Don`t worry Just Checking, there have always been people like Mikael around. Stalin knew the type, he called them useful idiots.

You a fan of Uncle Joe then, lfc? He woulda dropped the 'useful' in your case.

AS one part of the military wing they are a bit of a rag tag but then were up against very inferior opposition
look at some of the other terror/extreme military in palestine/lebanon/iran and we are looking at much more disciplined and trained nasties. |
