Very fortunate 100 Syrians to be housed in this beautiful place. Can you begin to imagine how they will feel when they arrive?

Rothesay is the major town on the Isle of Bute.Apparently the community
is rallying round to give them a big welcome,then they will get help on getting benefits and a bank account.There is only one Arabic speaker on the island so English classes will be a priority. ps I know someone whom has just paid £300k for a house on the island. |

Will they be building a Mosque on Bute for the incomers? I imagine that Planning Permission wouldn't be a problem, regardless of whatever concerns the existing residents might have?

I think Scotland's a great place for them to live.
Invited and welcomed in by that Krankie woman, friendly natives, jobs galore in Rothesay, lovely climate - especially if you're used to warm weather, great traditional food (haggis, chips, tennants, fried mars bars). Yep, I for one am grateful to our Scottish cousins for being so welcoming. And so many more where they came from. Well done. The SNP certainly gets my vote now.  |

I've been thinking a bit more on this topic.
I think Scotland should house all of the Syrian refugees who want to come to the UK. That little Krankie woman wants them and we don't. Scotland should have their independence from the UK and they'll be happy. We can build a fookin big wall across Northern England to keep them all in Scotland. I think it's been tried before, but this time I think we in England and Wales will make it work. |

I managed a factory in London in the late 60s there was a large (56) amount of Pakistani's, Taken on by my predecessor They dressed like us spoke our language and to all intents and purpose seemed grateful to be here and were integrating extremely well. Now they, their children, their children's children hate and despise us and our way of life, the men walking around in their night shifts and the women parading around in Batman outfits.
The lesson for me is even if we get seemingly decent refugees, how long will it be before they turn on us. mememe how about wee krankies paradise.  |

Scotland is ****, the will of the people is not being responded to, Sturgeon is forcing her ideas on the Scottish and British people, we don't want anymore Asians or Arabs in this country, we freed Iraq, Afghanistan, Tunisia and Libya of tyrants, gave them a chance to form a democratic government but these Moslems are ungovernable, they have been fighting and killing each other for thousands of years, they are looking for someone to blame, it just happens to be us at the moment, they tell you they are not being treated fairly in the U K and Europe, yet they all want to live here, get them to f-ck is what I say. cheers.
