i think Corbyn has the right idea .. as a nation we think we need them so we have them ... but if you vote for me .. they will be off the table .. the next PM can declare whether to use them or not but i wont .. but they will still be there .. a very sane and sensible view IMO.

They are ridiculous though. Is tooling the world up with the most destructive weapons possible really a deterrent? Under what circumstances is mass destruction a better retaliation than surgical strikes on whoever fired at you? Just having them, the odds of some idiot using one falls every day

Tooling up the world isn't a new phenomenon and nuclear weapons have been here for a while without being used thus acting as a deterrent.
Britain disarming is more likely to signal the end of the world than Corbyn pretending the world isn't an evil place with his far fetched ideology.

i was told in high school that 16 high yield weapons could nacker the planet, if placed at the right locations. there's about 6000 missiles around the world all much higher yield hydrogen types. not the little atom bombs dropped on Japan.
I see it as a total waste. Especially as a christian I know it's God that ends the world. Check out the back end o the bible.
