What about the Jewish, Catholics and Protestants and atheists, as well?

What has somebody's religion got to do with helping anybody in need?

Fookin BBC

They just can't help themselves. The Diversity dogma is so far entrenched now, even their "drama" programmes are little more than Diversity lectures. (See the execrable "CUFFS" for a particularly shocking example).

The most shocking thing is that your typical lefty "progressive" does not actually even understand the concepts of Diversity and Anti-Racism, as the output is generally along the lines of "White people bad, Non-White people good, Heterosexualist people bad, Homosexualist people good".

Ironic that many of the policies made by UKIP about protecting national borders and taking christian refugees from Syria and asking muslim countries to take more muslim refugees will be advanced by the BBC experts and politicians as solutions  now.A few years too late for many people that will have died but could have been prevented.

Yes why mention that he is a Muslim?

If a Muslim does something bad, the BBC are the last people to state their religion.

Actually the BBC are making it seem like Muslims like the one in the article are very few and far between.
So when one is identified they have to shove it down our throats to prove the point that not all of them haven't been radicalised to hate us.

Which of course is nonsense, so why do the BBC persist with this counter productive stance?
Everyone can see through it, and it does our relationship with moderate Muslims no good at all.

Was just listening to the news and didn't realise they knew so many other words to describe terrorists. They were radicals, aggressors etc etc but not reported as what they actually were.

This is why we need to know the identity and religion of the persons at the BBC (and other media outlets) who actually WRITE the News, so we can assess whether there might be a conflict of interest.

As a public-sector taxpayer-funded body, I'm sure the BBC would wish to be absolutely transparent.

Why do they have to bend over backwards to say oh that person was a ??????  No need to mention anything in regards to their religion.

I must say I enjoyed a meal in a Bangladeshi restaurant recently.

The waiters were the epitome of politeness and nothing was too much trouble. We even got free poppadoms with onion relish.

The way the media go on you'd think that all Muslims were hate-spewing, gun-toting, suicide bombing fanatics. I can speak from personal experience, as evidenced above, that they aren't all like that.

Well done the BBC for providing some balance.

Right, I'll try again because one or two on here don't quite get it.

What about a headline that went "Christian fireman saves cat up tree" ...  see it's a bit daft to mention his religion, so the BBC wouldn't ...

just like they shouldn't mention the religion of the guy who helped ... "Muslim man saves 2 women" (in the Paris terrorist attacks) ...

See, to me, that's also a bit daft to mention his religion.

Glad you agree with most people that the BBC have a positive agenda towards Muslims and are certainly not impartial on the subject.

nothing is going to change - I have been watching the sterile debates on sky all morning - they really are avoiding the issue.
As for May!!!!!  I don't think you can do anything about the problem which is muslims.  It is too late
there are too many here already in places of influence and have a deal of voting power already.  They are trotted out regularly on tv news to defend their so called political/religious world view.

Something will be done but sadly not until thousands of Europeans have been murdered and politicians are forced into action.

You would think the head of ethics and religion of a British Broadcasting Company would reflect the main religion of Britain or not be of any religion.

No, but they still mention he's a Muslim of Algerian origin -  Why??.

What about the hundreds of others who helped - what religions were they and does it matter FFS?

Do you actually think anything can be done in a relatively open society like ours? You are talking of millions whose so called faith is diametrically opposed to a secular 'democratic' system.  The numbers grow in total and in influence year by year.  Where would there be any support to curtail this?

The attacks were perpetrated by Muslims, so in this context it's probably not that unreasonable to mention that other Muslims don't feel the same and give examples of them acting heroically. I guess some people on this thread won't accept this though, so let's just agree to differ

If I saw raging muslim imam banging on the table of the sky news this morning demanding that daesh stop this now and all you uk muslims are apostates if you follow daesh and are completely mad then I would cheer him on.
Unfortunately a good muslim has to follow jihad(peaceful or otherwise) in the promotion of his so called religion.
Hope this helps

Everyone accepts that not all Muslims are terrorists but if even 10% support such organisations as ISIS it has to mean there is no room in Europe for any of them. There are only so many atrocities that can be allowed before the peoples will simply say enough is enough.

The first beneficiary of this could well be Marine Le Pen.

the Brussels Broadcasting Corporation will never say anything that would not be approved of or repeated by their EU paymasters, how would they get their loans and grants off the European Central Bank? The only chance of defeating these terrorists is to defeat the EU first.

Father

I don't think we need the BBC to tell us that not all muslims feel the same. Although it was rather telling that a poll amongst muslims in this country revealed that about a quarter sympathised with the actions of the Charlie Hebdo killers. Which is rather worrying.

Whatever the percentage (though I do wonder) what if 90% are peaceful Muslims and 10 % extreme (of whatever a made up percentage), vile murderers. What are they (the 90%) doing about it? How easy is it to find a group of muslims on our side in this country berating the killers. Post the link with them desperate to kick the killers out of this country, then I will shut up and go look at something else, no problem, fair enough.
Just can't find it myself.
