From a German point you are right Fred

But from a point of view of everybody I think you are wrong

His bombing us every night did go well with us he was deeply unpopular

Yet now he seems to hold a strange fascination for us

There were loads of pro Nazis and people anti war with Germany in Britain.

Churchill lulled Hitler into bombing British civilians by bombing Berlin first. This as you say changed the mood, as Churchill knew it would.

There were plenty anti war, not so sure about Pro Nazi

From my knowledge of the Battle of Britain, it was a German Tactic to remove RAF completely as a prelude to
invasion...but they failed
and then switched to bombing our cities, it had less effect on public morals than they thought

Looking at our country nowSad, was it worth fighting Hitler
We were also bankrupted by WWII and lost our Empire

We may have been on the wining side but we ourselves lost in my opinion

Germans were bombing military targets in Battle Of Britain until Churchill started bombing Berlin. Adolf took the bait and bombed London in retaliation to appease German public.

he's till with us, one of his protege groups is looking to build a world empire, kill the jews, kill the christians, and kill the gays. there's a bit of an theological rift though, while agreeing with the anti-pork stance they reject his vegetarianism as too extreme.

HE got away to Argentina and lived a very comfortable life.

Clearly it pays to have a decent pension plan.

He wasn't all bad.  If he - indirectly - hadn't killed my mother's first husband within a few months of marriage I wouldn't be here.  Nothing is black or white.  Except monochrome photography, I suppose.

And zebras.

The fact zebras are untameable is a major reason why Africa was conquered by the Europeans.

I think Trump has a very long way to go before he reaches Hitlerian proportions.  A not unpromising start though.

Monochrome photography isn't even always black or white. It can be sepia.
By:

When: 21 Nov 15 01:05
I knew it could be all shades of grey.  It was artistic licence for effect.  And sepia is neither.

Hitler was very misunderstood in Britain. Mostly because few people spoke German Silly.

"never cross a Zeebra"
Here's something interesting, it's rare but sometimes happens that a Goose can cross with a Swan.
You get a "Swoose". Funny looking thing, a bit random as to which bit of parent is plugged where.

Bit like most forumites I suppose DevilAngryWhoops

New book about Hitler reviewed today.Luckily for us he never fully
understood the importance of u boats during the war at sea.He
had 4 u-boats acting as weather watchers for the Luftwaffe and when
he invaded Russia he sent 8 to the Baltic where they had absolutley
nothing to do.Had they been sent to the Atlantic they could have
run amok attacking the convoys.

Talking about books, I can recommend the one written by his chef who accompanied hime everywhere.

It's called 'Out Of The Frying Pan Into The Fuhrer'.

He was definitely trapped in the bunker.  Took him three shots to get out after he sliced his tee shot.
