Always found it strange that many who are against hunting and hare coursing are quite happy to eat battery farmed chickens and wear animal skinned shoes or belts. A lot seem to just be anti something for the sake of it but their lifestyle suggests many couldn't care less about animal welfare ,when it suits them.
Those that do support animal welfare etc and are vegan and don't use animal products get my respect, the rest are false. |

Well I don't eat meat, use leather, drink almond milk. My only weakness is free range eggs.
|

Britis pigs have a terrible time of it.

Some on here boast how many sausages thety can eat.
|

Have you got a link to that cat food you buy Kenny?

Were those eggs genuine free range( allowed to roam on penned field enclosures) though Kenny or just stuck in a dark barn all their lives with thousands of other birds?
|
|
By:
We can't eat sausages bacon or ham now because they give us stomach cancer.
They can kill the animals any way they like now because nobody is eating the stuff. |
|
By:
rICKI, FREE RANGE MEANS THEY CAN SPEND SOME time outdoors.
oops caps, noy typing it again. |

Even if people are meat eaters it shouldn't stop them caring about cruelty to animals. As a first step I'd love to see far higher standards of animal care in this country and the animals getting a more humane death at the abattoirs. |

I had 7 sausages yesterday kenny, just as a mere snack.
You bloody hypocrite you. |
|
By:
I've got four sausages left from the other day.
I don't know whether to eat them or throw them out after reading this thread. But I do know one thing. I can't sit here staring at these four Walls all day. |
|
By:
That's terrible, Sultan - but it still made me chuckle!
|
|
By:
that's 20 times you've called me a hypocrite, Tommy, and 20 times you've been wrong.
hypocrite (1) A person who engages in the same behaviors he condemns others for. (2) A person who professes certain ideals, but fails to live up to them. (3) A person who holds other people to higher standards than he holds himself. I don't tick any boxes. |

At least you could buy your sausages from outdoor reared pigs, but Tesco! WTF
|
|
By:
So you say, kenny.
I'll leave it at that. |

Dear kenny,
I recently shared the true #piggate scandal with you. Millions of British pigs are suffering – and the UK government is allowing the routine use of precious antibiotics to compensate for these abysmal living conditions. And if you needed any more convincing that this situation is intolerable, the impact is now being seen on British dinner plates. This summer, Cambridge University research commissioned by Compassion and The Alliance to Save our Antibiotics* revealed the first evidence that British-produced supermarket pig meat is contaminated with MRSA. This represents vital new evidence that the abuse of medicines on farms creates excellent conditions for the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Bacteria that can cause serious human infections like blood poisoning and pneumonia. The countdown to antibiotic armageddon has begun. But just three actions from the UK government would make a world of difference: 1 Set a target to cut farm antibiotic use by 50% by 2020, and 80% by 2025 2 Ban all preventative mass medication in feed or water, except where disease has been identified by veterinary diagnosis 3 Gather data on the human health impacts of antibiotic resistance. With your help, we will secure these commitments and fight the foundations of the factory farming system. If you can, please consider making a donation to Compassion today. Thank you for standing against the reckless abuse of farm animals and antibiotics. Alex |

Just pondering kenny, what do you wear when you go out on one of your dates with a hot chick?
An old nylon belt from the scouts and a pair of wellygogs? |
|
By:
ha ha, I can see I'm flogging a dead horse here.

I can't sit here staring at these four Walls all day.

That pub of yours not shut down yet? I looked in the other night and there were only 2 old farts in discussing the price of mince. |

All I'm saying is pigs have a **** life. They are intelligent creatures and find themselves stuck in terible conditions with nothing to satisfy their curiosity. Anyone with an ounce of compassion (who is aware of this) should purchase their pig slices and pig sausages where the animal has been cared for. Not asking a lot is it?
Very good Gnarley. I actually did notice that error but I thought nobody would notice. ![]() |

Do you have your cats castrated Kenny?
Sorry I missed that originally. Absolutely, all 3 of them spayed and castrated. The most important thing to do, bar none. I can show you a copy of the certificate if you like. ![]() |
