I reckon most women would not want to compete against men in motor sport, darts, snooker plus whatever else doesn't rely on physical aspects etc as they wouldn't win much money if it's a living they are after...
Some women have proved to be ok jockeys though. |

Equestrianism still remains the only sport where men and women compete on totally equal terms.
Their is no ladies only competitions (unlike horse racing). I suppose if it was a sport bridge would come a close second, but as the OP suggests, there shouldn't be any physical reason why women cant compete as equals in chess, darts and snooker. Why has there never been any women speedway riders? |

Its women who don't want to compete against men..
If they did they would be shown to be patently inferior to men except equestrian sports where it is mostly down to the horse When women claim equality in sport it is a strange use of the word equality Sport was always mainly for men anyway to channel their aggression, although now we now have sport as entertainment Still if women want to compete amongst themselves and people watch women sport that is their right I only regard men's sport as REAL sport. |

When I was younger we used to have different sports for men and women which has always seemed to me a better idea
ie Football, Rugby, Cricket Men Hockey, Netball and Tennis women(although men play tennis and hockey?) But nowadays if women are not represented as the equal as men, they claim discrimination, often in fiction, even though this has little to do with reality. I think this is messing modern men up in the head personally. I think we are creating long time harm to ourselves Although if women can compete equally against men that is legitimate...but it has to on totally equal terms nothing else will do...or they not equal are they? |

Have you ever a women who has played football in her life??????????????????????????
I have not......yet they claim equality, on what basis?????? The great majority of women do not like sport. Although not all men like sport. Women can do anything they like, they do, and things like badminton squash are healthy .....but the word equality has little meaning. |

Ultra distance running compete on equal terms. The longer the distance, the smaller the gap between the sexes though men virtually always come out on top.
|

By:
men are more competitive by nature - so it's why men would come out on top .
blokes need to get a life basically - there is more to life than 'winning' or trying to prove how 'good' we are |

3 Of the top 100 Scottish Chess players are female with the best one being 8th.
A few months ago Nigel Short caused uproar when he said that women were simply not as good as men. |
