It was at 31,000ft when it disappeared off radar.....got to be a bomb.

A Russian airliner has crashed in central Sinai with more than 200 people on board, the office of Egypt's prime minister has confirmed.
The Airbus A-321 had just taken off from the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, on its way to the Russian city of St Petersburg.
Egyptian media reports said wreckage of the plane had already been found and at least 20 ambulances sent to the scene.
Most of the passengers are said to be Russian tourists.
Latest updates
The plane was operated by the small Russian airline Kogalymavia, based in western Siberia. Latest reports say it was carrying 217 passengers and seven crew.
Initially there were conflicting reports about the fate of the plane, some suggesting it had disappeared over Cyprus.
But the office of Egyptian Prime Minister Sharif Ismail confirmed in a statement that a "Russian civilian plane... crashed in the central Sinai".
It added that Mr Ismail had formed a crisis committee to deal with the crash.
The Russian aviation authority Rosaviatsiya said in a statement that flight 7K 9268 left Sharm el-Sheikh at 06:51 Moscow time (03:51 GMT) and had been due into St Petersburg's Pulkovo airport at 12:10.
The authority added that the aircraft failed to make scheduled contact with Cyprus air traffic control 23 minutes after take-off and disappeared from the radar.
A centre to help relatives of the passengers has been set up at Pulkovo airport, Tass news agency quoted St Peterburg city officials as saying.

It disappeared at 31,000ft, if there was a malfunction then it would have drifted (or plumetted ) to the desert.

It didn't, it disappeared.

QED.

Crash was caused by 'technical failure'
Posted at 09:50
Al-Ahram, the Egyptian state-owned news provider, has a report on its website about the crash which quotes a pilot saying it was due to a "technical failure".

The report says Ayman Al-Mokadem is heading a committee to monitor the crash's aftermath and quotes him saying the aircraft's pilot "sensed a technical failure and reported to the aviation authorities that he wanted to land at the nearest airport"l

The pilot appeared to crash while trying to land in Al-Arish's airport in North Sinai, Mr Mokadem said,  according to the report.

Leopard, sorry mate, but you've the analytical ability of a .. ,
Just because it's not the least most simple cause, doesn't make it the most "cool" cause.

THOUGH.. you might be right and I'm sad to say I think you are maybe right ...

I'm sick of ... stuff. Never mind politics. If it's technical failure, then
bad, but, as suggested, it's maybe the usual acts of our "friendly fellow humans " ....
...the type of "humans" who spend 24/7 trying to find ways to kill people...

TL I'm not saying the plane didnt come down etc, just that your conclusions are ...
too fast. I've a real horrible sinking feeling that you're right though, so
this argument is me lecturing you for being a bit conspiracy theorist...ish,
not that you are wrong. But.. same as pretty much everything these days ..
I've a feeling you are right... :(

The BBC's Ranyah Sabry in Cairo reports that the flight's captain had asked for an emergency landing at El Arish airport, but the plane did not make it and crashed 50km (30 mile) away. People in Egypt are mainly exploring a technical fault in the plane.

Our reporter says more than 100 bodies have been found across a 2km area.

If the Captain had changed route and was looking to make an emergency landing then that would indicate a mechanical failure.
