Sky news  bbc and gruniad in orga$m mode over this one.  Apparently he is very articulate and clever, causing the yanks all sorts of problems.
Well hardly difficult to do that really.

Why don't they drop him off in Afghanistan where they found him, if he wants to come back here let him make his own way back.

Private jet just arrived at Biggin Hill, and ambulance already waiting there for him. (Source : BBC Lunchtime News).  Nothing but the best for this vital contributor to British society.

I'm amazed the Queen wasn't there in person to shake the hand of this visiting dignitary, along with hundreds of cheering white schoolchildren all given the day off to show their joy. A trick missed there.

Is he going to be put on trial the moment he arrives?  Most of the outrage (well, voices of opposition) seems to be around the fact that he was held without trial.  So let's try him under UK law.

He can then explain what he was doing in the middle of Afghanistan in a warzone, and he can also explain why the American security services have linked him to terrorist recruitment, and Bin Laden personally.  If he indeed was there on a charity mission, he will be able to say which charitable institution he was registered with, and how they helped facilitate him to this part of the world.  All charities keep paperwork and travel details of their legitimate personnel.

The dangers of releasing a man with alleged terrorist links, who now has a fckg massive grievance (more than before) against the US and the west, should concern every citizen of the UK.  Surely our own security services are keeping him under extremely tight surveillance.  Bl00dy hope so, or else we've got another 7/7 on our hands.

We've got that coming anyway I'd imagine, either via the umpteen million peace-loving sorts knocking around the UK and Europe, or our schools that are full of Straight A Jihadists, and/or of course the next generation of Jihadists our NHS maternity wards are pumping out at record speed…. all paid for by the UK taxpayer that hasn't been consulted for a moment about The Great Multicultural Experiment.

"Terror on the Taxpayer" makes a quite persuasive recruiting slogan wouldn't you say?

Interesting how the guardian hasn't opened a comments column on this one - you would think they would want us all to share the delight in this 'british' person's home(?) coming.

He's a Saudi national who got married whilst in the UK. Presumably that's enough for him to enjoy the full fruits of all that our wonderful country can offer.

Welcome to Barmy Britain in 2015.

Our gallant men and women of the Armed Forces will be putting their bodies and lives on the line for a good few years yet, to protect our country and ensure that lefties can sleep safely in their beds and then do their best to prosecute those very same service people when they get back to the UK.

Can anyone tell me why someone like this is given all this attention without any critique whatsoever?  The tv media have an editorial agenda as far as I can see (on all items) and it is the old 'nelson' blind in one eye sort of agenda.
