the time will pass quickly, and the next morning we all look a bit tired. The Christmas tree too.

apparently Jesus wasn't even born on Christmas Day, so we shouldn't really be celebrating then.

But when was he born?  I'm sure a wise forumite will know.

Clues to date are ... big star in sky, Bethlehem hotels all full (Rolling Stones concert?) - must be others

As a Christian, I don't have anything to do with pagan nonsense like Christmas. Christmas is for all you atheists!

In response to mememe's question, when was Jesus born? There is disagreement on that, but my personal opinion is that he was born on Thursday September 26th 3BC on the Julian calendar. That on the Hebrew calendar would be Tishri 15th, the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles. But that's just my opinion - I could be wrong!

As for the star of Bethlehem, and when did the Chaldean astronomers arrive in Bethlehem! Again there is disagreement on that, but it is safe to say that they were not present at Jesus' birth (anyone who thinks that has been buying too many Christmas cards, or singing "We Three Kings" too many times. It's certainly not supported in the Bible). My personal view is that it was probably on Sunday December 21st, 2BC on the Julian calendar. Again, that's merely my opinion, and I could be wrong! I wasn't there, but I can say with certainty that there wasn't a Rolling Stones concert that day.
