Adil Ray is back with a fourth series of Citizen Khan - he explains why his BBC sitcom about a Muslim family is still as laugh-out-loud funny, and controversial, as ever
.

I  imagine the headline is technically correct... i.e. as previous series have been crap the new one will be crap as well. Mischief

They should have an episode where one of his family joins ISIS resulting in a series of jocular japes.
I reckon it'd go down a bomb so to speak.

Episode One: Citizen Khan is innocently walking down the street in central London when he bends down to tie one of his shoelaces and is inadvertantly caught up in a protest led by Anjem Choudry with hilarious consequences like being photographed burning the Union Jack, screaming abuse at a copper and carrying the black flag of ISIS.

Episode Two: Citizen Khan tries to take his extended family on a well deserved holiday to southern Turkey when their tour bus inadvertently strays into Syria with hilarious consequences. Episode finishes with the Khan family being rescued by the SAS and given compo by the British government for not having personally warned each of them of the potential dangers nor arresting them before they boarded the aircraft at Luton and sparing them needless hardship.

Episode Three:...

Episode Three: Whilst surfing the internet for supplies for his window box, Citizen Khan inadvertently presses the "Buy-it-Now" button for 40 barrels of fertiliser which he must collect himself, with hilarious consequences. He borrows an old transit van from a friend at the mosque, picks up the fertiliser, but is diverted by the malfunctioning sat-nav across Westminster Bridge at 2 o'clock in the morning where he breaks down outside the Houses of Parliament, unaware that the van has been stolen, hasn't got insurance or an MOT and he left a loudly ticking clock in the back...

Episode Four: Citizen Khan visits his family in Pakistan. During the return flight the plane gets diverted to Budapest where a series of mishaps sees Citizen Khan, inadvertently, losing his passport and ending up in the back of a Romanian lorry, bound for Calais, alongside 49 other Pakistanis, with hilarious consequences.

Do you suppose that there any ANY white British people who watch this dreadful 'Fake Entertainment in the name of Enforced Diversity' programme and laugh along wholeheartedly?

I can imagine there are quite a few 'progressive' and 'inclusive' lefty human tragedy types who pretended to like it, before giving up halfway through episode two of the first series. You know, the types who think Britain's establishment and institutions are 'hideously white'.

Would love to have been a fly on the wall when this programme was green-lighted.

I have laughed more at Clouseau's contributions to this thread (tremendous work) than at any episode of Citizen Khan ever.

And I am one of the people (like many of you) that think's it is sh1t, knows it is sh1t, but will still tune in to it for the sheer car crash voyeurism value of it. I can't really explain why I am so drawn.

Whats the big deal?  The BBC in another cr@p sitcom shocker.  Has this ever happened before?  Is there some law that says sitcoms featuring ethnics have to be funny?  The non ethnic ones are shit, this just balances things up.

surely "some muslims do 'ave 'em, then have a few more and then a few more, all at the British tax payers expense, having previously contributed nothing"

Episode Eight: Citizen Khan is on a humanitarian visit to Afghanistan working for the RSPCMGBBB (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Men with Great Big Bushy Beards) when a series of mishaps sees him arrested by US special forces and detained without trial in Guantanamo Bay for 13 years with hilarious consequences.

On his release he is lauded by the left-wing press and sets out on a lecture tour of schools in the East-end of London teaching disaffected youth about the manufacture and deployment of Improvised Explosive Devices.... [erm ... best run this bit by our lawyers first; Head of BBC Comedy]

Hard to believe this I know, but it seems the Great Man behind this alleged comedy programme hasn't always received a popular response from the pubic about the show. Far from it, although the article is a little shy of identifying the people who are guilty of the extreme response.

For Citizen Khan fans on here, look out for HIGNFY tonight. The actor behind the massive hit comedy Adil Ray is a guest along with Julia Hartley-Brewer & Sir Francic Boyle.
Don't normally watch this but might give it a go.

Well, well, well.

Who would have thought that commissioning or green-lighting a 'comedy' programme on the basis of someone's ethnicity, faith, diversity, (rather than on the basis of actual comedy and merit) could result in such an execrable car crash of a programme?

And on the basis of the disgraceful news (below) revealed this week, we can expect more disasters in this vein.
