England really aren't a bad team. They need a few tweaks positionally in terms of playing staff and management and with many of this squad some way off their peak and others to join them the future isn't nearly as bleak as this tournament has suggested.

When you handicap yourselves by not allowing yourselves to pick your best players then what do you expect?

Steffon Armitage is a useful off spinner and good lower order hitter.

No - just a better back row forward than any of the players selected for the England RWC squad.

I'm not saying he would have won us the world cup but would England have not selected Chris Waddle when he was playing for Marseille or David Beckham when he was playing for Real Madrid?

Britain in 2015:

Tour de France Winner - Kenyan, who has only ever gone to Britain for holidays in his life.
100% Euro Champs Qualifying campaign - Even Scotland would have topped that qualifying group
F1 World Champion - Sitting on arse driving car round and round, only 2 drivers can win
Ashes Winners - England won the toss 3 to 2, and the series 3 to 2.
Davis Cup Finalists - One man Jock team, Djoko, Federer, Wawrinka did not even bother playing Davis Cup this year so no danger.
4 World Athletics Gold Medals - 2 of which by a Somalian

But indeed yes, a fair reflection of Britain today imo.

Multicultural, cynical, completely lacking in national pride, negative and whingy.

Indeed - a very fair reflection of Britain today.

things will only get worse whilst Sport England pump the majority of funds into women's sports

You could be a football, cricket or rugby club with 50 boy's and men's teams but if you have just one women's team then your funding will quadruple
The ECB are throwing millions at women's cricket (subsidized by men's cricket)
The FA are throwing millions at women's footy (subsidized by men's footy)

I've no problem with women playing these sports but lets have it on a level playing field

If I had a daughter the same age as my son and they both played cricket the daughter would have weekly coaching provided and paid for by the ECB, something not afforded to my son - WHY ?

Because British women are fat bitches and need all the encouragement necessary to take up sports imo
