'DID YOU KNOW THERE ONLY 2 FOOD BANKS IN NEWHAM'

But there are 80 betting offices, so it can't be a poor borough....can it?

Yet kids go to school having had no breakfast.

Residents MUST have money to gamble, but not enough money for food?

Strange.

I would suggest that the number of 'food banks' is not necessarily related to the number of betting shops. Apparently, there are many ethnic cultures represented in your reporter's borough. Some may be rich...some may be poorer. I would not take it for granted that the poverty is caused by gambling.

Perhaps your researcher is a bit 'lightweight' in his conclusions.

The only facts you need to know about Newham is its one third Muslim and only one sixth of its population is indigenous British.

This area will be under Sharia law shortly, its a part of your country ye gave away without a shot being fired in anger.

Jealousy, is not an endearing quality. HTH.

Nor is petition rigging. Many people voted several times on that re-instatement petition. I suspect that your 'hero' actually voted several times to permit his return.
You have all probably ruined the power of any genuine petition by turning the whole process into a farce. Not much to be jealous of there, then.

Incidentally 'hero' seems to loom large in your psyche not mine.

I just call it as I see it. If I am wrong...then it is my mistake. Its happened before and will probably happen again. There is nothing wrong with hero worship...provided that your judgement is good. Do not just run with the pack.

Fair enough naydam, you should know that 'running with the pack' is not my style, in fact the last couple of times I spoke to him I had a go at him, as it happens I was in the wrong. Sad nothing unusual there I hear you cry.Laugh

poverty cannot be caused by gambling only by not having enough money to live on = rent bills food in that order anything else doesnt count

but saying that having a £100 a week iphone bill dont count so the above = utility bills gas water electric council tax

"Poverty cannot be caused by gambling..."  I'm sorry to be contradictory, but I just can't ignore that comment.

Surely, gambling must be one of the main causes of poverty. Along with alcoholism and drug abuse. After one has lost all of one's money, or boozed it all, or injected it all, there is nothing left BUT poverty!!
