I keep a few basic tools in the house, just for convenience. The rest are in the garage.

So where can my hammer be? I remember the last time I used it, or think I do, so where can it be?

At the moment it's added to a list including.....

One metre, bright yellow spirit level
An antique small spirit level, wood and brass, that was my dad's
Pin Hammer
Yankee screwdriver
Fine tooth tenon saw
Two wire brushes
Two spark plug wrenches
Surform
Two Punches
Coping Saw
Padded sandpaper block
Rawl Hammer
Pointed trowel
Hand drill
Steel ruler
Assorted screw drivers
Monkey Wrench

And Lord knows what else!

Please help me find it by suggesting where it might be....

TIA

No brendan, just a high quality hammer by "Stanley" (he was a nice guy) bought with other tools many long moons ago.

Incidentally, add to the list...

A Bradawl and a Gimlet!!

I have no clue what most of the items that you have listed are.

Don't worry, you are better off without them!

Claw hammer = Birmingham screwdriver on the one half of the head, and a nail remover on t'other.

''A Bradawl and a Gimlet'' - the words are sheer poetry.

Woodworking has a complete language of its own.

Spokeshave and paring chisel, smoothing plane and spoon gouge - simply fantastic!

And wait for it................bevelled edge firmer chisel. - Yeeha

Don't you just ache to be a skilled woodworker?

You still have your Yankee, I thought I was the only one !!!!

When re-furbishing apartments in Chelsea years ago, we sent out the 'trainee' for sandwiches and a skirting board ladder, the clever sod found a pet shop and got a ladder for a budgie cage,  Laugh and paid for it with my change!!!ShockedLaugh

I assume you have a board on the wall with the outline of said tools where each one should hang. If so, watching a couple of episodes of CSI should solve the problem.

A Yankee screwdriver - well blow me down.

Still got your brazen bitch? (Wheel brace and bit.)

Look high up? I've a habit of putting tools on the top of shelves, frames, window ledges, you name it, then leaving them there. Done any high up DIY recently? Is it rusting away on your roof?

Yes JC, that came to mind, but I know the last time I used it was with a punch, to crimp some electrical connectors!

Don't like this kind of mystery Diva!

Gemma had a 13" Sabatier Chef's knife (bought by me) disappear without trace!

Later at a different property, and much more worrying, was the loss of her sister's platinum wedding ring, and my wife's gold and diamond eternity ring.
Her sister still doesn't know it is gone!

Ouch.

Don't make the mistake I made, my ex wife asked me if I'd "Sore her ring" as she was bent over looking into her dresser. I completely misheard, or at least that's what I told the Divorce lawyers BlushWink.
