I doubt any event in the British Isles has ever attracted so many GMs
Top seed is Michael Adams but after 4 rounds he is a full point off
the pace.

Isle of Man Chess Masters should be a knock-out competition... each round being best of three legs.

Not often you see a married couple in same event,Jonathon Grant is an IM
and his wife is a GM.

What's an "IM" Sica?
I can think of International or Inter-Galactic, but surely it's not the latter?

IM is International Master, its the rung lower than a GM (Grand Master)

So, if the wife goes further in the Tournament as expected, the Husband will have to sit around for a while "Bashing the Bishop" ??

This is not a knock out tournament, everyone plays the same number of games
its called a Swiss system and in theory the cream rise to the top and the best
player will win.
