When Wayne Rooney scored against Switzerland at Wembley in September, he became England's all-time leading scorer - eclipsing a record held by Bobby Charlton for almost half a century. In this programme, Gary Lineker explores the Manchester United striker's life and career, chatting to Rooney about his upbringing in Liverpool and the early years of his relationship with wife Coleen. Including contributions by David Beckham, Zlatan Ibrahimovich, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sven Goran Eriksson and a host of other figures from the world of football.

Say what you like about the licence fee, but the Beeb have really excelled themselves going back in the archives to find footage of Rooney scoring goals.

I seem to have missed this by accident. I feel like I have missed out as I would have liked to have missed it by choice. Is there anywhere I can not catch up on it?

Going to be a lot of pressure on Kai if he becomes a footballer.

Going to be a lot of pressure on him having a stupid name like Kai  imo.

Rather watched the uncensored version; granny shagg1ng, bad wigs that would make Elton John blush and showing that although he looks like a thug he gets KO'd to a punch one of his grannies could have thrown.

As the Jam would say 'That's Entertainment.'

Didn't watch it, but was it just a BBC love-in focussing solely on what a great guy, top top player, family man etc that he is.

Or was there any reference to:-

- His appalling petulance on the pitch that has been costly to both club and country
- His adultery, including sleeping with hookers whilst his wife was pregnant with his child
- His criticism of the supporters who travelled to South Africa whilst he and his national team stank out the world cup
- His foul mouth rants on the pitch, unbecoming of an established international professional sportsman
- His abysmal scoring record in international tournament football
- His inability to turn up for national duty or the start of a season looking fit and athletic as a 24-hour a day professional sportsman should/would.
- His smoking habit
