Anyone staying up for it?

I don't think I'll bother, but all the doomsday mongers thing it'll be the end of the world, so, I might.
Depends how much tea I drink tonight :P

Maybe this "announcement" from NASA is that the Martian invasion starts tommorow?
It all makes sense when you think about it.

And I for one will welcome our new overlords, if they keep me in Vinegar and Beetroot.

BITO can have his first naked group martian hug.

As an astro "nut" I've seen many lunar eclipses, it's an OK spectacle.

Don't believe the Supermoon hype. Lunar eclipses are a lot more viewable than Solar eclipses and the UK has their fair share of them of at least a few a decade. Supermoons occur when the Moon is at its closest to the Earth(around 5% difference) and this will mean it's slightly more accessible by all but the eclipse will last a bit shorter.

Enjoy it if you've never seen one, most of the UK is expecting clear skies tonight but on't believe the hype of supermoon talk!

Right you are degs. I'm not staying up that late so it's an alarm or I just miss it. I've seen it before.

Probably cloud over then anyway. The martians never attack under clear skies.

the brilliant white glow of the moon will slowly transform into a dim red.
The colouring is caused by earths atmosphere scattering sunlight into the shadow.
the moon will come 44 thousand km closer to earth.

My comments on your misspelling were a mere sideline, (although "Taylor you a package" is an intriguing aside). This pales into insignificance beside my request for backup to your comments on tonight's show.

Bread - I haven't the faintest idea what you mean. Would you like to conduct this debate in another language?  I wont be able to help much quickly but Mrs B is fluent is several.

But to save time, as an obvious expert, what is your take and/or advice on this evening??
