For his animal welfare work he is more than deserving imo.

Kenny spot on mate,Ricky is tireless and uses his "fame" for good causes no one more deserving than him.

“Dear intelligent people of the world, don’t get shampoo in your eyes. It really stings. There. Done. Now ****g stop torturing animals.”

nough said.

I liked his tweet a couple of months ago,"if you dont have empathy for animals, then you don't have empathy at all".

I apologise if my grammer is not up to scratch.

because he's a nasty little misanthrope
Report kenny mann • September 25, 2015 10:28 PM BST
He may well be, but his animal rights stance more than makes up for that.

mocking the disabled won't gain you any favours.

I think the black man's cóck joke has probably scuppered Ricky's chances of a knighthood.

ricky one of the worst about i would want paying to watch him
Report mememe • September 26, 2015 3:31 PM BST
Struck me as having a bit of Jimmy S about him ... so why not a knighthood?
Report Pokermonster • September 26, 2015 3:38 PM BST
I like Ricky Gervais, he's created some of the funniest programmes of recent years and his vocal support of animal charities is admirable.
Report Coachbuster • September 26, 2015 3:59 PM BST
fantastic individual - love the bloke
Report MadVlad • September 26, 2015 4:07 PM BST
Lets be honest he is very rich and could just feck off and enjoy his money, but chooses to use "his fame" for good causes. If ever there was a more deserving person in the entertainment industry to be recognised it's him imo.
Report polybot • September 27, 2015 12:31 AM BST
hitler was a famous animal lover, lead a political party strongly supportive of Green issues, and often put the rights of animals above those of humans, not sure whether he got a knighthood though.
Report bix • September 27, 2015 9:28 AM BST
I wish he'd do his animal rights campaigning without the swearing.
Report treetop • September 27, 2015 10:34 AM BST
Distinctly unfunny and gutter humour,no wonder he hasn't been knighted. One good feature is insufficient to redeem him.
