I just saw a photo of the "clock", it does look exactly like a bomb.
Not much of an invention either, supposedly he just took one clock from it's casing and put it into another.

Why? What's wrong with the story? If it's a set-up, it's not a very good one because most people who read the story, like myself, would have thought "Obviously they thought it might be a bomb. It looks like it could be a bomb."

Don't see how this is a win for either side. The kid made a clock, fair enough. The school thought that it was suspicious, fair enough. Obama found out and thought it could be free publicity, fair enough. The family want to make a big deal about it, well I think that's a bit unnecessary but parents often get overprotective when it comes to ther kids. But seriously, what's the big deal?

Not playing stupid, I'm afraid, so you're going to have to explain why it was a conspiracy rather than just a perceived PR opportunity for Obama.

The link you posted made a big deal of Obama tweeting that the clock was cool before a picture of it had been published in a newspaper (as evidence of this conspiracy), even though the story was already all over Twitter and other social media before Obama's tweet.

the story went to the media before it was exposed by individuals on the internet, the media played the whole fictional narrative for days without question, even when clockboy was directly being fed lines in his interviews from his sister (who was once suspended for making bomb threats) and from cair representatives (a muslim brotherhood activist group)
i know obama has a lot of time for golf and celebrity parties but is he also following a lot of 14 year boys and tweeting whenever they get sent to the principals office?

actually there has been almost no truth coming out in the general media on this story, some are still running the original narrative
in obamas speech at the UN it emphasised that non muslims must stop equating Islam with terrorism, the core of this speech would have been set weeks ago, and the obama speech comes just after clockboy's UN address. numerous other examples of this including the admin lying for weeks about bengazi despite knowing the facts almost immediately, very little curiosity by the media then or now.

other main topic obama's UN speech was of course global warming being the biggest threat to the world, not so concerned with the mid east collapsing or the massive proliferation of nuclear weapons in the next decade.
