Well, well, well, who would have thought it eh?

Idiot politician makes ridiculous and premature 'progressive' pseudo-humanitarian decision (against wishes of own people AND rest of Europe) and a week later has cause to regret it.

Merkel's work here is done for now.

All the way from head of agitation and propaganda at her East German university to this. Russia's deepest, most successful and most extraordinary sleeper agent.

Fair point, screaming.

We may have one of our own up here, Comrade Nicola.

Munich Trivia: The huge sprawling park in the middle of it is called the "English Garden" and people surf on a river in it. It's probably being used as a training area for you know how now, after Merkels bizarre very public attempt at national self destruction.

She is, as Von Del Boy would put it "Ein Plonker".

Yes paddletoe. Here's a photo for bito of some Munich surfing.

Actually I think they are wearing socks, so that's ok.
It's about the 5th image that comes up if you search for the surfing, I didn't have that bookmarked! LaughWhoopsWink

I can believe it Just Checking. Stayed in the Sofitel hotel next to the train station and my wife and I went to the sauna area the first day. It was unisex and not a singe person had any clothes on except us! Men and women even took naked showers next to each other.

I think there's an area of that park set aside for nudists.
Bito will know Laugh.

In Scandanavia they can have Saunas in the workplace.
I can't imagine sitting there with people I work with with my tackle out, but apparently they've no problem.

I keep going back to Bito but I've just realised he's living in the wrong country Laugh

That will all be gone soon, segregation will be the order of the day.

Merkel after making the grand gesture wants the rest of Europe to bail her out, please don't.

In Ireland we remember her putting the boot in during the banking crisis
The Greeks should remember her viciousness during their crisis,no problem impoverishing bubble and squeaks.

This was government by picture book, pure emotionalism and amazingly the PR man fell for it by emoting and starting sentences with " as a father "
A born leader.

As I said the other day, I'm pro EU but Merkels stupidity is making me think we might be better out.
The aggressive "you take them as well or else" vibe makes me wonder if that's how the Greeks felt.

You could almost imagine eastern europe breaking off into an east EU trading block or something if she tries to twist their arm. Poland isn't in the euro, wouldn't be the biggest wrench for them. Hungary is clearly completely ****ed off.

Just mentioned the hotel Just Checking as you brought up the Germans liberal attitude to nudity and that specific hotel also has a unique feature in the bedrooms if you wanted to show something show off while in the shower.

"and that specific hotel also has a unique feature in the bedrooms if you wanted to show something show off while in the shower."
This will need some explanation! Strangest thing I've seen in a posh hotel toilet (apart from the bidet which is a thrill to the likes of us) is a phone so you could sit and call people while taking a sh*t Laugh

If your aim were to alienate the countries of south-eastern Europe from the EU and leave them vulnerable to their former Russian occupiers, you really couldn't have planned it any better.

Announce that anyone passing through those countries will be welcomed into Germany, thus encouraging hundreds of thousands more men to make that journey. Then a week later shut the door without warning. Top it off by threatening those countries with the loss of EU funding unless they let these men stay.

I feel sorry for the lovely city of Munich and their delightful local people. A beautiful city is now teeming with chancers, ragamuffins and quite possibly a large number of terrorists and paedophiles, and NONE of it has been voted for, less still even requested by the discerning citizens.

Merkel is  like a misguided teen who advertised her house party on Facebook , then when everyone  turns up, she panics and slams the door shut.

My pleasure Grant. A most underused word is ragamuffins. Another word long-overdue a comeback is OAFS.
